i did used to read the Lib. message board though, and some of them weren't too happy about him doing this. Maybe he is trying please both sides - doing what he thinks is right without getting too much shit from his supporters.
i was actually disappointed to read how many Libs. were bitching about it. some of them thought he was 'selling out'. some of them even said they refused to contribute any money to the recount effort. maybe their opinion changed since then, i don't know. i read all this when they first came out and said they were gonna recount.

The Greens were the driving force and still are. At least as far as the party heads go. At the grassroots level its a wide open affair.
