Fuck all that nice shit. If we don't take a page from Florida 2000, then we don't have what it takes.

2. If I lived in Ohio, I'd be putting those up and on my car.
Edited on Thu Dec-16-04 07:57 PM by Ojai Person
I'm afraid they are still a bit strong for California.

On Edit: Maybe they won't be in a few days, weeks. I do think bumperstickers and signs are really important. I have the redhandsmovement.com on my car and it gets attention, although I wish it was bigger.

Nor were they afraid to stage a riot with paid operatives in Florida in 2000.

We must mock, we must deride.

9. I don't have them on my car, I glue them to metal utility poles, bus stop
shelters and phone booths. They are hard to peel off so lots of people see them.

3. Bush Cheated!!!
Damn straight!

I will go to my grave believing he cheated in 2000 and 2004 both!

By the way, may God be with the Gore family upon the death of Miss Pauline at age 92.

Al Gore should be PRESIDENT!

George W. Bush is only in the White House as a result of mindless Americans and the right wing media.

And we stood by and let them. They paid repugs to wave those Sore Loserman signs that repugs paid to have printed.

Gore's VP house chanting, "Get out of Cheney's house!"

I would love to go to the White House and scream, Get Out Of Our House!

In don't believe in nice and polite. Before the election I was walking up to people on the street and saying:

"Bush sucks so bad I had to write a song about his dumb ass"

and then I handed them this:

This sweet, mild 14-year-old boy got arrested in my town and has to go to vandalism school for putting a STOP BUSH! sticker on the stop signs around town.
I am sure I could find targets less illegal than stop signs.

15. You just have to look both ways and work fast.
I do it when traffic is moving, not when the cars are stopped at a light. I have handed off my contraband, spray glue, flyers and staple gun to bystanders to hold on one occassion when I thought a cop who would have likely just seen my handiwork on utility poles seemed to be watching me.

I look at it this way, it's just paper and glue, not paint, it's not permanent, just time consuming to peel off.

14. I would love to have a poster of the long, long lines of people waiting
to vote, with some words, like

They Stood In Line
While Their Votes Were Stolen (or something more catchy.)

The Fix Was In
Before They Got To Choose

I don't know--something to go with the picture.

To me, that image of people standing in long, long lines is the most galvanizing.

16. Unfortunately the MSM filmed white people standing in long lines
And everyone has seen that footage.

It was the long lines in black precincts that were definitely Kerry votes that were lost.

The reason I think BUSH CHEATED 04 is the best is because it just states. the first rule of advertising is KISS.

Keep it simple stupid

22. I saw pictures of black people standing in lines in Florida. KO had them
in his first report, when he was debunking the Dixiecrat nonsense. Yeah, like these black "Dixiecrats" voted for B*** and also voted to increase minimum wage by a dollar. Right. A picture sure speaks a thousand words.

Kinda establish a pattern...

Might want to translate hours in line to hours not worked, How much did it cost *you* to vote? It cost these guys 5 hours at $20/hr that's $100.

Edited on Fri Dec-17-04 11:40 AM by Ojai Person
Dear Editor,

First of all, thank you for printing the many differing views of people who live in XXXXXXX. Our various perspectives and the ability to speak them freely are what make democracy great.

Having said that, I wish to address Ms. XXXXXXX, for her letter of December 3, 2004.

Ms. XXXXXX, you state:

"I believe Mr. XXXXX is mistaken in his application of ... (the question What Would Jesus Do?) into the world of nations. Clearly Christ taught that as individuals we are to be kind and loving. But in the verses Mr. XXXXX cited, Christ is talking to individuals not nations."

You go on to say:

"There are many instances in the Bible when God does talk to nations. Often war was a way of God judging nations for their 'inequities' and sometimes God used one nation to stand up for righteousness against another nation whose corruption had gone unchecked."

My question to you, Ms. XXXXX, is how on earth or in heaven do you know that God is the one directing this slaughter in Iraq, which is far more disruptive to the people there than Hussein? Is it because this is what your "president" says?

What makes you so certain that the voices your "president" says he hears come from God and not from some far darker force, like, say, Satan? And why is it that when an ordinary citizen hears voices telling him to kill people, he is locked up for the good of the public safety, but when Bush hears voices telling him to kill, so-called Christians rejoice and act as if he was chosen by God to be president?

This is not my Christianity, and this is not my president. But it IS my country, and my democracy. Since you cite instances of brutality by one leader, Saddam Hussein, how can you ignore those committed by George W. Bush and his administration? He lied to get us into Iraq. He and his cabal are guilty of international war crimes, and, since evidence of wide-scale election fraud is cropping up in states all across the land, he is also most likely guilty of another severe felony against the American people. He stole his way into office once, and now he is trying to do it again. I am sorry to use such strong words against a man you, Ms. XXXXX, and others so obviously admire (far fewer than were reported in the official election tallies, it turns out), but it is high time you all wake up. If you want to apply Christian theology to politics, I think the story of the Antichrist might be more fitting.

And don't tell me I am filled with hate. I am filled with rage, as any decent, thinking, caring human being should be. And I am sorry, Ms. XXXXX, sending gift-wrapped shoe boxes around the world filled with gifts and school supplies for poor children does not wash the blood off your supposedly Christian hands for supporting this monster who sits in the White House. Get real. Jesus would be ashamed of this hypocrisy.

Sincerely,

XXXXXXX
