A little optimism
Just trying to keep everyone's spirits up. If you're determined to be a pessimist, please respect our right to do as we choose....

The Repugs are digging themselves in deeper with every computer they screw with, every recount they sabotage, every case they dismiss, because they know that our guys have figured out where the fraud took place. They know where it was done, they have a good idea of WHAT was done, and they're getting the details on HOW it was done. And once that's done, then comes finding out WHO did what. The perps know this.

I think our guys have hit the jackpot at last with the machine tampering evidence. Conyers, Arnebeck, Cobb, and now KERRY are all on it--because there is the fraud, and they know it.

The key, IMO, is Kerry's lawyer's letter. This, to my knowledge, is the first really serious action his people have taken on their own. The list of requests was a start, but it was nothing to this. Up till now they acted as Intervenors (?) on behalf of the Cobb people, or through proxies such as Rev. Jackson. This letter that they have sent may well be ignored, but the key is that they sent it. And in it, they have all but said that there was bigtime fraud. They called for the computers to be IMPOUNDED, for crying out loud. And for a full hand count where that stuff was used.

I suspect that Conyers has found something truly damning. Whatever his people are doing, they aren't leaking it--but the Raw Story article on it (http://www.bluelemur.com/index.php?p=497) suggests that they have found some bad stuff already. Gee--I wonder who'd be the first person that this Democratic Representative would tell!

SOMETHING happened to prompt Kerry to do that. The incident itself was bad and illegal activity took place, but I have a feeling that something else has been unearthed that we do not know about.

Don't sweat the recount's results yet. If the counts are being done on the machines, or in private with observers given the cold shoulder, then the results are AS valid as the election night results, and no more so. Take that in whatever way you like; I know what I think it means. But it wasn't a total waste of money--if it weren't for it, then the Diebold and Triad tampering wouldn't have come to light.

Arnebeck is fixing his lawsuit and hopefully is adding the recent prima facie evidence of tampering. If that evidence doesn't at least invalidate all counts performed on that junk, then nothing will. And "the totals match the 11/2 results" is no defense, because it doesn't prove that they weren't messed up on that day.

Conyers' people are still hard at work. Just because they aren't reporting anything, doesn't mean they aren't finding anything.

Cobb is bound to be aware of what is happening to his recount. The fact that he had Douglas Jones file the affidavit says that he knows.

Kerry is FULLY in the know on all details.

"The board is set, and the pieces are moving."

Yes, I finally watched the Return of the King Extended Edition tonight, and let me tell you it lifted my spirits tremendously. The good guys won after it looked unimaginably bleak for them.

Keep the faith guys! It ain't over yet. Not if our people have anything to say about it.

thank you - i also think there may something we don't know about yet.

There has to be, or Kerry would not have come out so strong in that letter, like you said.

please post in one of the 'I Believe' threads! we need more people like you around here!

Mr Blackwell, WHAT ARE YOU HIDING?!!!!!!

We need some more optimism around here. The BFEE and all of the co-conspirators are going to go down.

They have awoken the sleeping giant. :nuke:

The evidence is surrounding them, and as they shiftily try to cover their tracks, they are going to make mistakes. So, let them come on TV and gloat. The truth is, they are pissing their pants because they know what is coming.

5. More Optimism: Make Chicken Soup!
Have you ever made real soup old-fashioned soup?

You start with the stock. You chop up a lot of vegetables (in our case miscellaneous anomolies, the statistics on exit polling data vs. real data, investigations by computer hackers on how the system could have been rigged, individuals who had to stand in long lines in minority neighborhoods to vote, etc.).

You put these vegetables (information) in one big pot. And you boil it -- you keep the heat on high (in our case, the energy and enthusiasm to get at the truth and report it on the internet.)

Then you turn the heat down and let it simmer. (In our case, you ponder the information. Let others chime in and analyze it.)

Then you throw out the vegetables! You toss out the information that is not panning out. You are left with the stock -- a distilled version and composite of everything you've got.

Then you put the stock (the distilled information) back on the stove and STOKE IT. New vegetables are added -- the affidavits, the election count obstruction, the software guy from Triad adjusting the system, etc. Now you've gotta turn the heat back down and watch it all simmer. The fire is still on. And the soup is definitely cooking.

My point is...do not discourage if the energy seems to dim around Christmas. Don't worry. We are about to taste the soup. Season it. And enjoy our feast come the 6th of January.

Yes We Can!

9. Sounds delicious. Let's Get Some RSVPs
Do what you can to invite your Senators and Reps to join the feast on the 6th of January.

www.thedeanpeople.org

We call them lots of things, but we're not calling them late for supper.

It will be their own fault if they go to bed hungry.

I think that's Bleever's sig line. Every time I read it, I am reminded that the gods have a very different sense of justice and how it should be applied than we mere mortals do.

7. Great Post FireSpirit...nice read, I agree and I hope they know
stuff that they aren't telling or leaking. I am sure of it. I believe it was all part of their plan. They are smart and prosecutors too. I believe that many, many very smart people have put alot of time and thought into this whole deal. I am so grateful for them. You are right about the Rethugs digging themselves deeper not only does it help our case it makes them look really bad publicly. You are also right about up to now our guys haven't been directly involved and something has caused them to take direct action. Good point about the recount money and what's come to light because of the "recounts" (though they are likely not to end up valid). I believe Kerry is a fighter and a born leader. Not just any leader but a leader with substance, moral fiber, backbone, intelligence, character, a leader born to fight injustice and wrong-doing. Edwards brings alot to the table too. A great pair. I think it's in the cards that they will win. I appreciate your optimism and share your sentiments. Wow, extended edition of Return of the King, what's that edition like? That movie has been on my mind so much lately. That and how the clinically dead Boston Red Sox came back to sweep the Yankees 4-0 and win the world series for the first time in a generation. Then there's that Redskins game and all the other signs too. I got faith, yes I do, I got faith how 'bout you?

I agree with you so much about John Kerry's leadership qualities, which became very clear to me watching "Going Upriver" the night before the election. This is a very good man, and I trust him implicitly in whatever decisions he is making at this time. I know that he has the country's best interests at heart.

Thank you all for the great posts.

The EE of RotK is... awesome. If you have read the book, you'll see several things added back that are direct from the book, good stuff too. (Although, there is one new scene near the start that I am surprised didn't get it an R rating--or maybe I'm just a softy.) And the story is a wonderful metaphor that I hope and pray will come true for us.

I'd forgotten about the Sox and Packers! The Redskins game looked to be won by them, but a ref ruled against them and the rest is history. The Yankees ended up with a better season record but the Sox got the title. And wasn't the Sox-Yankees Game 4 decided by a series of calls in their favor, or is my memory being screwed with by the events since then? Dayum.. That's a bunch of amazing coincidences if I'm remembering right.. or perhaps NOT coincidences. We shall see!

I can't provide link, that they are to have a meeting Monday with the technician, the election official who provided the affidavit and the DA's office to decide if tampering was committed?? I think one of Kerry's lawyers needs to be there. First of all, I would want to see payroll records from Triad on this guy, Second, I would want to see records that indicate that what he was doing to that machine and others was "normal and customary" maintenance.

27. According to Kerry's letter, they have a signed affidavit
Edited on Fri Dec-17-04 09:20 AM by DoYouEverWonder
from a major election official in Hocking county! Someone on the inside has apparently come forward. This is definitely at least one ace that they are holding. I can't wait to see what else they have.

Given the information that has come to light regarding activity that occurred on December 10, 2004 at the Hocking County Board of Elections, the integrity of using the Board?s computerized tabulating system to conduct the recount of the presidential election has been seriously compromised. I assume that by now your office is fully aware of the affidavit by the Deputy Director of the Hocking County Board of Elections regarding what she observed and heard. Based upon this affidavit, I hereby request that you conduct a thorough investigation of the matter. In the meantime, the tabulating system should not be used for the recount and I hereby request that you order the Hocking County Board of Elections to conduct a full hand recount of the ballots and not use the tabulating system for the recount. I also request that you immediately impound the tabulating equipment and programming, and preserve it in its present state, and prohibit access to the same.

I am reassured thanks to Patsy Stone's comments in my "Silence of the Dems" thread yesterday. I too am convinced that there is some mind-blowing stuff going on behind the scenes right now. When the deal goes down, it will be amazing.

I am kinda concerned though. These people will do ANYTHING to hold on to power. Perhaps that's part of the reason for the silence - fear of triggering the terror/fear machine.

Doesn't mean there aren't many more blows to come--and obviously many more are needed--but DU and other places in blogworld have made cheating a little more difficult already. And that's no small feat. And the "mandate" is suffering from a little shrinkage, too.

I'm very pleased about the cooperation & calculated moves by the Greens, the Libertarians, Conyers, and (shh!) Kerry. :)

If Kerry had strongly reacted immediately after the election, this would have ended up in Scalia's Supreme Court. The fact that Kerry has chosen this stealth route has enabled him to build a case with a wealth of evidence that would be hard to ignore.

I believe!

It was wondering today if it's possible it's the Democrats that initiated what's been known as the "media lockdown"? So that they could do what they needed to do without interference? I probably would if I were they, after what happened in 2000.
