Where was Dennis John Kucinich on the campaign trail?
When Kerry needed a boost in Ohio... Where was Dennis John Kucinich?

When polls showed Kerry losing nationally and in Ohio... Where was Dennis John Kucinich?

When Kerry campaigned in Cleveland with Bruce Springsteen... Where was Dennis John Kucinich?

And now that we're where we are in the Ohio investigation... Where is Dennis John Kucinich?

In my opinion, if Dennis John Kucinich had followed the lead of Wesley Kanne Clark and Howard Brush Dean, III, in campaigning on behalf of Kerry/Edwards, I doubt the fraud could have stopped Kerry from winning Ohio.

1. This is a really good question
Has anyone in Ohio gotten in touch with him to find out whats up? It seems like a natural fit, there must be some bad blood there perhaps?

5. This Deaniac really deplores this post
First, it only is going to cause bad blood between DK and Dean supporters, even if it is just you stating this. Second, DK did campaign for Kerry in Ohio, but he also had his own race to run, unlike Clark and Dean, who could devote lots of time to campaigning for Kerry. Also Cleveland, where DK's district is located, gave a huge vote to Kerry. Finally, DK has stated several times his support for a recount and investigation into the voting machine problems. Howard Dean and Dennis Kucinich are both good men and great democrats and we are lucky to have them both.

6. Kucinich couldn't even carry his district in the primary
I think his effect on Kerry's campaign would have been minimal or nil.

7. I'm not sure Kerry wanted Kucinich
Dennis Kucinich was the only Democrat that really spoke to the issues I believe in during the 04 primary.

Of course, he was deemed an space cadet for doing so, even in Dem-friendly publications.

So I'm not sure where Kucinich was. I'm not sure Kerry wanted him.

A better question is: Where as Kucinich been during this recount? Has he been as active as one would expect?

8. Kucinich was investigating and fighting electronic fraud even BEFORE N2
Kucinich was really ahead of the curve on the electronic election rigging issue.

However, I haven't heard what he's been up to in this latest round of investigations in Ohio. Any DU'r from Ohio here happen to know???

9. Kucinich was with Kerry
He was present at both of the Kerry rallies I attended, the one in Akron at Firestone Stadium and Election Eve in Downtown Cleveland. I personally shoook Kucinich's and Kerry's hands in Akron.

I think what you aren't quite aware of is Kucinich's status here in Ohio. He may be wildly popular among true left-wingers throughout the country, but he really isn't particularly popular here in Ohio, especially outside of Cleveland.

21. I remember an article right after the Temple speech
with Dennis being quite happy.

He said that by coming out tough, Kerry had just won the election.

"Mark the date," he said. He knew the Closer when he saw him, and said so.

Bless his little elf heart, he was kind of far down on the ballot attention-wise.

I wouldn't be surprised if he were out there campaigning, but no one was covering him.

He's viewed as an eccentric.

23. Here! Now knock it off!!
http://news.bostonherald.com/politics/view.bg?articleid=57991&format=

Toward the end of the article, they mention that Dennis often campaigned for Kerry, but mostly in his home state, where we wouldn't have gotten coverage by the way.

Damn, want some salt with that candidate?

25. Reply from the office of Dennis Kucinich
Hi Mike,

I get over to DU once a day generally, but can’t keep up with it all. Dennis has issued two statements in support of the recount. The first was published in Common Dreams:

http://www.commondreams.org/views04/1110-31.htm

Our techie in Cleveland, Turo Dexter, is also one of the recount volunteer coordinators and a number of other people from the campaign are working on the recount and keeping Dennis up to date on what they are learning first hand.

As you know, he has warned about electronic voting all along. He was warning about electronic voting without paper trails when no one else would talk about it:

http://www.kucinich.us/issues/e_voting.php

We can’t put new material on the website until the transfer from Presidential campaign to the re-elect committee is finalized, but we try to keep each other caught up through our forums.
http://www.kucinich.us/phpBB2/

Dennis has been speaking out about Kyoto, the UN and other things as well; we keep it all on the forums.

Pardon the brevity of this note, but I am trying to get some things finished up so I can leave for Texas on Monday for a couple of weeks of holiday traveling. I will be working some, but not much.

Hope this helps some.

Best regards,

Claudia
