John Conyers is AWESOME... |
|
Has anyone here read "Crossing the Rubicon" by Michael Ruppert? Well, its about the 9/11 coverup by an ex-LAPD cop who the CIA tried to recruit to deal drugs back in the 70's...five star rating at amazon.com...anyways, he gives Conyers kudos, really calls him a hero, and doesn't feel that way about anyone else in DC with very few exceptions! Conyers is a good man, and deserves so much more respect from those evil repukes....we must demand it!

2. I think these drug connections, the CIA, and American corps are |
|
at the core of the reason why we're not getting to the bottom of a lot of what's plaguing our country. Sibel Edmond's testimony holds the key. This thing between the CIA and the Bush Administration is not a good cop/bad copy scenario, but a Clash of the Titans. I sincerely believe that some American corporations have been doing some very bad things, and it has been with the CIA's knowledge -- maybe even part of their strategy. But, the CIA has plausible deniability, where the Bush Administration's cronies may not. That's why donations are terribly skewed to the Republicans. In fact, I bet if you can come up with a list of the top 10 corporations that contributed to the Bush presidency, I suspect we'll find some very desperate people, which would be willing to do some very desperate things to win elections.
But, it's just an opinion.

29. Because people have learned to react when our criminal |
|
justice institutions get involved. If someone gets indicted they go, OOOooooh! If someone gets arrested they go, AAAAaaaah! If they get convicted, they go, hang um! But anything outside of that requires thinking. And, what are the chances of our criminal justice institutions indicting themselves? Or arresting one of their own? Or of convicting one of their own?
We need to continue encouraging the weeklies (because they are American journalism's last stand. Pun intended.) to continue putting out the truth. I have to believe what a great man once said, "Tell the People the Truth, and the Country is Safe."

it has become so admirable. Because it has become so rare on the progressive side. While the reactionaries also do their usual job (e.g. stealing, lying, hiding, cheating, plundering, re-framing, wasting).

10. I'm on page 77 of this book and find it fascinating...I'm a former |

constituent of Conyers. Ruppert doesn't compliment many. So, for him to compliment Conyers is a big deal...
The first letter I received as a baby was from Conyers... I know, I know they all do that but it still means alot to me...

In the face of hundreds of people telling Ruppert he was being conned, Ruppert continued to stand by Vreeland's whacked out claims.
If he gets bamboozled for MONTHS in the Vreeland-Ruppert dog and pony show, how in the world am I supposed to take him seriously?

Haven't read the book, but part of the gist of it is that if we do not solve the energy problem and the problem of peak oil and excessive reliance on imported oil and gas, we can expect more of the same.
The choice has been made by the Bushies to instead continue down the present path and use what military strength we have left before the fuel runs out to control as much of the world's oil and gas as we can. CIA knows this and some of them do not agree with it.
2000 or 2001 was the first time in history that the majority of our energy was imported. It's likely that this is what's behind it all, including whatever election fraud has occurred. Our economy depends on it.
