In May of 2004, Wendy Orange resigned from ES&S....
Edited on Sun Dec-19-04 10:29 AM by WiseFawn
"In her letter of resignation, Orange said she found the corporate philosophy at ES&S to embody unethical and disreputable practices. She said she had "personally witnessed open discussions of potentially illegal procedures."

"I have since learned that the standards to which I hold myself, I don't believe ES&S holds those same standards and values,” said Orange.

Orange calls all of this extremely disappointing, considering her admiration for ES&S when she joined the Nebraska company. "I was impressed with the people that I met, and with the products that they provided and with the services they provided,” said Orange.

Her resignation became effective Monday. "I hope my concerns were heard all the way at the top. I really do and I hope that's where the change will start,” she said."

"Her husband, Doug Orange, used to work for ES&S as Johnson County's project manager. He was fired after refusing a superior's order to zero the counters on voting machines at the courthouse instead of the polls. “I felt those procedures were illegal,” said Orange.

Johnson County Clerk Jill Jackson believes Doug Orange did the right thing. “There's a lot of integrity there, that he put his job on the line because he was not willing to do something that he felt was illegal,” said Jackson.

Doris Anne Sadler believes Wendy Orange did the right thing too. “The software in question is called data acquisition manager and is used to compile the votes,” said Sadler.

The illegal software could still be seen in the computer when the I-Team tested the system in January. Wendy Orange showed us how she takes the individual results from each card and accumulate them into one place to give overall totals for each race."

1. #1. She needs to contact John Conyers!
#2. Chuck Hagel should be investigated. I don't care how "moderate" he is. He won in predominately African American precincts in 2000? I don't think so. He was also on their board (ES&S), was he not? This shit is DEEP. Our government is corrupt from the top to the bottom.

6. not just on their board! Owner, chairman and CEO!
http://www.scoop.co.nz/mason/stories/HL0301/S00166.htm

~snip~
On October, 10, 2002 Bev Harris, author of the upcoming “Black Box Voting: Ballot-Tampering” in the 21st Century, revealed that Republican Senator Chuck Hagel has ties to the largest voting machine company, Election Systems & Software (ES&S). She reported that he was an owner, Chairman and CEO of Election Systems & Software (called American Information Systems until name change filed in 1997). ES&S was the ONLY company whose machines counted Hagel’s votes when he ran for election in 1996 and 2002. The Hill, a Washington D.C. newspaper that covers the U.S. national political scene, confirmed her findings today and uncovered more details..

He really ought to be seeking this woman and her husband out. She could hold the peices that ties the Curtis thing together.

26. I think this is why Chuck Hagel gets away with criticizing the President
and his minions. If they were to take Hagel down a la Arlen Spector, he would probably reveal some nasty stuff about the election rigging he knows about first hand, and it would put all the other election rigging into the spotlight. Or if they went after Hagel, somebody else might discover and report on how he won his election and it would be exposed that way. Just a theory.

2. Wow - Bombshell -- This gives me a lot of hope that the
truth WILL eventually come out! I still think we should try and raise a giant reward for proof the machines were hacked. Probably, all in all the best purpose for our hard earned donations. If these creeps are as devious as we know, it will be hard to uncover exactly how they did this. And, they probably factored in covering their asses. i.e. Ohio. We'll have to help whistleblowing along with cash.

5. a reweard will probably not tempt too many . . .
'big time' blowers of the whistle . . .

that said as many of the stroys like the one above that come out ---- clearly --- the better.

BUT --- remember the BFEE / PNCA are heavy weight thugs ----- i am sure death threats are more motivating to many then $ . . .

in fact JK may even be in fear . . .

them cash for their whistlblowing activity! The rethugs will run amok with bribery for "truth!" Money isn't the answer! what we should be offering is safe houses and body guards! That is what irrefutable proof will require for any whistle blower! If you had this information, wouldn't you be pretty paranoid about releasing it? * biographers are dropping like flies! How long do you think it would take them to arrest someone stupid enough to call in to an entity that was offering money to a whistle blower? There is a REAL threat to anyone that comes forward w/ this type of information!

18. Reward and Protection are Not mutually exclusive!
Protection would have to be a HUGE consideration before any reward. I also agree a reward won't get everyone -- many of these people are loyal to the core - since they personally benefit too

15. I agree.
We should try to find Joe McGinnis, a former employee of Election Systems and Software (ES&S), the company that provides the voting system in Auglaize County,Ohio, and Ken Nuss, former deputy director of the Auglaize County Board of Elections, who said MdGinnis was on the main computer that is used to create the ballot and compile election results, which would go against election protocol.

21. Excellent find. WISH TV has numerous
pages concerning problems with voting machines and ES&S. Has this wealth of info been posted before (having never heard of WISH TV). They seem to be doing an excellent job.

From one of their earlier investigations came this story

March 11, 2004
Voting Machine Company Takes Heat Over Illegal Software

What began as an I-Team 8 investigation escalated into fireworks Wednesday night.

I-Team 8 was there as the state election commission admonished a company called Election Systems and Software (ES&S), the maker of the most widely used voting machines in the state.

ES&S officials came all the way from Omaha to answer questions about their voting machines. A version of embedded computer code used by three central Indiana counties in November was actually illegal because it had not been approved by the state.

“We at ES&S made the mistake of loading the wrong version of firmware on their units,” said Rob McGinnis, ES&S.

Rob in Indiana and Joe in Ohio. I think it's Joe.

I was doing a search on employees resigning from ES&S and found this. I wondered if anyone's seen it yet?

28. their continued story
is just as alarming

Spafford said one of his undergraduates put together a rigged system in about half an hour. The student rigged a system where every third vote for one candidate actually goes to the other candidate. “Were you to ask us to design a program to do this and hide the code that changed the results, we could do that given about three days’ time,” said Spafford.

Hidden code, like a game buried in a spreadsheet program, could be planted in a voting machine and stay invisible, altering the count only on Election Day. “And the numbers can't be re-counted. All you can do is re-read them. The whole notion of a recount goes away - which is a very good way to hide if you are actually attempting to alter an election,” said Spafford.

It would be nice to get all of these people together in one suit. The two McGinnis guys from ES&S in Ohio and Indiana,Mr. and Mrs.Orange and Ken Nuss. I can't figure out why more is not coming out about the whole Ken Nuss thing and the lock down in Warren County?
