Biden in 08

Watching Biden this morning on Meet the Press.....

I have no doubt he is our man in 08. If only he had been our man in 04.

If he runs, I will vote Green and shout it from the mountaintop.

Biden is a Bidet. Bought by the MPAA, RIAA, and other corporations.

consider.

I've said the main reasons why I dislike him.

Do me some justice by backing up your belief in saying he's a good guy in your responses to me...

On double-checking, why not give out some examples for everyone else too. We don't all watch network TV, let alone blindly believe what it says.

8. Biden has no chance
It's great that he speaks his mind, but some of the things he says are really out there. The repugs will eat him alive. No chance in hell...waste of time.

9. I like and trust Biden and would gladly vote for him
Although I enthusiastically endorse Biden, I would prefer a fairly diverse group of democrats to 4 more years of domination from corporate republicans. Although I like the idea of voting for independent candidates that may suport more of my belief, I won't split the progressive vote and ensure republican control.

I thought Al Gore and Bush would not govern that differently and I was never more wrong. There are obviously differences between the two parties and I think Bush proves it.

13. Biden isn't President material.
Biden is no savior. He will be destroyed, just like anyone else who plays the game with these crazy people.

At least Feingold would have some chance of getting my vote in the primary, and is independent enough to appeal to people across the board.

Biden would last about as long as Gephardt did in the primaries.

He isn't President material. Sorry.

16. You deluded fool ...
What's it going to take to make you realize that NO Democrat
( especially one from the Senate, one from the Northeast, etc. etc. )
will EVER win in '08 unless our entire fraudulent voting system is overhauled. You're playing right into the neo-con/fascists hands , talking about which candidate this, which candidate that. As long as republican private Corporations are counting the vote ... it's a done deal. Stop wasting our time and deal with the issue at hand ... Bush lost THIS election, and we've FIRST got to figure out a way to make elections fair again before talking about any specific candidate!!!

19. I like Biden, but, again
we're falling into that "out of the Heartland" Democrat who will be painted as being out of touch with the average Joe and Jill.

I know there are Dems in the Heartland...

But, of course, all this is contingent upon fixing the voting machines.

21. No more intellectual East Coasters. They can't win.
Southerners will NOT vote for them.

Biden is another intelligent guy who does not appear to be warm and fuzzy. He's another Gore or Kerry. Don't you get it - the Murkin people don't want intelligence - they want someone who is warm and fuzzy (or at least can pretend to be warm and fuzzy) and "dumb" is the new fad.

Intelligent: Out
Dumb: In
East Coast: Out
Southern or Rural: In
Cultured and Refined: Out
Hillbillies and Rednecks: In

that's an open letter to the Russian government warning about the undermining of democracy; however, considered in the context of being posted on the PNAC site....the silence on the imperialistic aspect of PNAC is deafening.

so that somebody like Hillary, Obama and others could run. It's going to be the same old game if we don't take back the media and fix the voting machines. The DNC and DLC is making a mistake by ignoring this.

28. Kerry is our best choice for 2008
If we nominate Kerry in 2008, we will win. Period. The American people already know and respect him, and half the country voted for him. After four more years of Dumbya, they'll be wishing Kerry had taken office, and the republicans will have to run a new candidate. We need Kerry in '08. If we nominate anyone else, we'll have to introduce them again, instead of concentrating on getting our message on the money. If we nominate somebody like Hillary, we're f*cked.

29. What about the south?
I keep hearing the Dems want to nominate a southerner or a midwesterner. That was the campaign's biggest mistake of writing off the south. How is Kerry gone appeal to the red-state people?

Clark is and has always been our best choice. More liberal platform than Kerry, but more creative as well and will appeal to southerners. I'm one of em'.

Many of my R friends said they would switch sides for Clark. How rare is THAT!?

32. This is what pisses me off about the south
They will only vote for a southern candidate? Why do us northern folks have to vote for their candidates, but they can't vote for a "yankee"?

John Kerry is the best choice to be PRESIDENT. I can't help it that he doesn't talk like Foghorn Leghorn. He's got the leadership quality we need, and that's what matters most.

The biggest problem with our country is that we're starting to make our elections a popularity contest, not a choice for the best person to lead us. John Quincy Adams wasn't friendly at all, and I wouldn't want to have had a beer with him, but he was a good president.

he proudly proclaimed in some hearing after 9/ll. I still had cable then otherwise I might have agreed with you.

Yup, that's why Bushco was able to polish it up and trot it out so fast.

Biden (paraphrasing)--to Bush representatives--"let us help you, there's a lot of talent here." (referring to long standing congresspeople and dems especially, like him) (with his trademarked sh*t eating grin, of course)
