Poll: Opposition to Iraq Invasion Reaches New High
Poll: Opposition to Iraq Invasion Reaches New High

A new poll by ABC News and the Washington Post has found that the percentage of Americans who feel the war in Iraq is not worth fighting has reached a new high. Nearly 60 percent of the country said they disapprove of President Bush's handling of the Iraq war. Meanwhile Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld's approval rating has fallen to 35 percent -- half of what it was when Baghdad fell 18 months ago. In his final press conference of the year President Bush admitted attacks by the Iraqi resistance were "having an effect" and he admitted that newly trained Iraqi forces had failed so far to help secure the country. As for Rumsfeld Bush defended him saying he was a "caring fellow."
