Documented vote machine fraud in swing states explains vote "swing"
compared to exit polls and other studies documenting unusual swing to Republicans in official vote totals.

Systematic vote machine fraud, "Default to Bush" has been documented in swing states such as Ohio, Florida, and New Mexico- and some of this has been observed in other states as well.
http://www.flcv.com/fraudpat.html
http://web/northnet.org/minstrel/youngstown.htm
Other types of systematic fraud have also been observed in many areas.
These appear to explain the swing to Republican seen by the difference in the exit polls and official vote totals.

This means that Bush or another default candidate would get not only the votes of those who didn't notice that the intended candidate didn't register, but any intentional non votes or accidental non votes or unsuccessfully completed votes. Quite an advantage. Under normal circumstances this would result in a swing as much as 2 to 4% in many areas. But since it is a matter of record that the default was hard to override and sometimes impossible as reported by the EIRS reports and acknowleged by poll workers, only the most watchful or purposeful voters may have been able to successfully vote for a chosen non-Republican candidate. Thus the swing was likely much larger for some machines and even more in some minority precincts that appear to have been targeted to produce high levels of misvotes based on the large number of EIRS reports in minority precincts. There were also a few cases where precincts had machines set to default for a minor party candidate, but none observed to default to Kerry. These patterns have been confirmed by analysts and computer experts in several counties of each of these states. Other similar default related patterns have also been observed in some of these areas, such as failure to register a presidential vote when a voter tried to vote straight party line. This would result in the presidential vote going to the other “unintended” party.

1. I hope this "default fraud" can be proven to be truly systemic
...and the numbers can convince even all those willfully blind people who are refusing to allow the possibility of fraud in THEIR election. As my sister-in-law laughingly said to me, "Come on, this is still AMERICA!"

And BTW, congrats on the 500th post milestone!

2. The fraud is documented down to the precinct and machine level
For those who look at the EIRS data, the fraud is documented down to the precinct and machine level. Everyone in the system knows it; the Democratic voters in the counties where it occurred, the poll workers, the election officials; the 2 party's officials; etc.
They know exactly what happened where and how. But fraud on this level is unprecedented, so no one has figured out what to do about it apparently. And there aren't many choices for who had the ultimate responsibility.

In this case some of those who voted on the rigged machines are even known, and its known who they tried to vote for- because they filled out an incident report. But most didn't know about the report system and didn't fill out a report.

4. So it comes down to making "them" believe it
first enough for congressional challenge on Jan 6 and then enough to overturn of the results. With the Repub majorities, there have to be enough Repubs who will put democracy above partisan politics. I'm hoping very, very hard.

10. You have to tell the software
to default. It only does what it is told to do. Software is not intuitive; it's stupid; it doesn't choose anything with out having logic to tell it what to do.

Software does not think it is told!!!! Burn that in your brain!!

12. The trick is to demonstrat deliberate, systematic fraud
...so that the "glitches" can be shown to be part of a deliberate scheme with results large enough to turn the election results over rather than a bunch of random sloppy mistakes.

17. This can be done very simply
by carrying out a Chi-Square analysis of the results: by .

18. Oh fer crying out loud
it can be done much much simpler - you suspect fraud at some precinct? Go and recount it. YOU can do it, personally. After the end of the canvassing period the ballots and polling books enter public record. YOU, personally, can go to the county, request to examine a particular precinct, and after agreeing to pay them the hourly rate that they charge for the time of the county workers who will have to handle the ballots while you count you can recount any precinct or counties or the entire state.

So why are you futzing around with "chi square analysis" etc? Go and recount. If you find wild discrepancies between you count and the election results, that would be proof of fraud. If you don't - your chi square analysis is bull.

6. That quote!!! What an amazing quote!!
"The Director for Fulton told me that Triad is able to reprogram the computer to count only the Presidential ballots by remote dial-up. I do not know when after the election that occurred."

"County officials were cooperative."

— Green Party County Coordinator
Henry County Recount

(I've saved that site as a file and screen shot)

Well, for all those who truly understand the implications of that statement, I'd say you've got all the 'smoking cannons' you need.

Do all you can to get as many Congressional members and others informed as to the implications of that statement.

A halt and comprehensive investigation must happen.

We have no election.

7. Geeez
That would take the term "unsupervised in the election area" to a whole new level, <shakes head>.
Betcha this county didn't have some Triad rep. calling to stop by and talk about possible questions from the recount lawyers.
No need for false reasons when you have a easy access back door.

13. Why haven't they let independent experts test the compilers?
On November 22, the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) and the Verified Voting Foundation (VVF) announced that they had sent letters to voting officials in eight counties around the country urging them to allow independent testing of their electronic voting machines. The two groups were among the 60 organizations in the Election Protection Coalition which ran an election day hotline and the web-based Election Incident Reporting System. The Coalition received 37,862 reports of election irregularities, including 2,112
incidents concerning voting machines.

The two major machine errors involved voters who selected Kerry on an ES&S electronic touch screen and saw their vote change to Bush on a summary screen. The second was a specific problem with the Sequoia AVC Edge machine where voters saw preselected default
choices presented to them. According to EFF and VFF, counties where the most serious problems were reported include Mahoning and Franklin County in Ohio, Broward and Palm Beach in Florida , Mercer and Philadelphia County in Pennsylvania, Harris County in Texas and Bernalillo County in New Mexico.

16. Reduced undervotes in Florida TS counties supports Default to Bush
In Palm Beach, Dade, Hillsboro, Pinellas, and Sarasota which all have touchscreen voting that reported "switch to Bush when Kerry punched" patterns, the undervotes for 2004 were more than 50% less than in 2000. This is consistent with the Default to Bush pattern indicated by the EIRS reports of machines registering Bush when Kerry punched or switching to Bush after initially indicating Kerry. Only a significant portion of the machines appear to have been so programmed so a 50% to 70% reduction in undervotes is consistent. A poll worker I know in Pinellas says that he thinks a lot of voters go through and vote their choices and don't review the final list which would be necessary to catch a swith on and ES&S machine. Those votes, as well as non-votes or unsuccessful votes would all go to Bush on compilers programmed to Default to Bush.
