Christine Gregoire, ahead by 8 votes

Late Tuesday, Democrats claimed that their candidate, state Attorney General Christine Gregoire, had taken the lead in the race by the razor-thin margin of eight votes. Republicans maintained the race was still too close to call.

“We’re confident Christine Gregoire has been elected the governor of the state of Washington,” Democratic Chairman Paul Berendt said. “I believe Dino Rossi should concede.”

5. They should just revote at this point
She's up by 8 votes now, he was up by 5 before or something. Either way it's so miniscule a difference, that it's not going to be credible to either side. Apparently there is some precedent for this based on an election in NH that was decided by 2 votes and the candidates agreed to a second vote.

6. why should we have to revote?
if all the votes were counted she would win by several hundred. There's no need for a revote, and just because they did it in NH once is no "precedent" for causing the voters of Washington state the time and expense of yet another trip to the polls. Gregoire wins, get over it Rossi.

10. Hah?
Democrats spend million on this recount.
Why should there be a re vote and who is going to pay for it?
Republicans are so concerned about spending money on recounts, and you suggesting a re vote?
:spank:
