Will there be organized demonstrations in DC on 1/6?

Hello everyone,

I'm relatively new, so I hope this is the appropriate area for my questions.

I've enjoyed my time here so far--and I thank all of you for helping me to understand the widespread fraud that happened in the 04 election.

I am wondering if there are any activities planned in DC on Jan 6--the day that the 2004 election is scheduled for certification? Are there organized protests or Conyers show-of-support rallies planned?

I feel compelled to be in DC that day--to show Conyers how much I appreciate his efforts and to demonstrate against this fraudulent farce of an election. Can we really even call it an election, at this point? Grrrrr. :(

I'm in Iowa, and I'd have to dig into our family's savings to make the trip. However, I look at my two preschool-aged girls and I feel a responsibility to them--to do something--during this critical time that could affect our future.

Can someone direct me to any information or resources regarding plans for that day?

Ive been screaming this for weeks.. BE IN DC, its the real day. stand up for democracy! the 20th will be pointless, they are blocking the whole route so bush wont see protesters. Support the challenge in the Capitol on the 6th!!
