Spelled Miss Havisham (from Great Expectations) as "Haversham." I think it's kinda cool myself (although I did write him cause I thought he might wanna fix it). And anyway, how cool is it of him to make a Great Expectations allusion? rrrrRRRR :loveya: :loveya: :loveya: :loveya:

26. Yes, the history lesson is needed
I don't hang out in right-wing, fascist circles, so I'm a little behind the times when it comes to their propaganda. Recently a very conservative friend of mine tried to get me to read a book on fascism by a Lutheran "thinker" which was trying to push the idea that fascism is a form of liberalism.

Whoa!!! Amazing how these guys can turn truth on its head and still keep a straight face. There does seem to be a bit of the old Kool-Aide drinking going on here. It seems their hatred of liberalism gives them permission to say whatever they want, as long as it combats its terrible influence.

9. Is this a response to Brad Blog?
"However, a lot of facts from the previous post have been clarified — or muddied — and the news, to paraphrase one of my snarkiest friends in the business, “doesn’t stop when you’re off; it goes on another three to four hours a day.”

If so, I am very disappointed in the lack of details Keith O failed to give once again. I'm happy he reports on Election fraud however, something about KO's latest blog entries feel wrong. I hope he isn't drinking the kool-aid.

The link is right here...

http://www.bradblog.com/archives/00001071.htm

Since he's essentially slurred a man (a rather courageous man, if you ask my opinion...which you didn't) with wholly unevidenced, one-sided, un-factchecked allegations from behind the cover of an "unnamed attorney".

Frankly, I find it reprehensible (as you may have noted, if you read the above link). To that end, someone owes someone an apology and a record needs to be straightened.

Just my .02. His public email address is KOlbermann@MSNBC.com

12. Even while on vacation
he keeps us informed.

Loved this about O'Reilly:

MORALLY CHALLENGED:
On the lighter side, there is this from The New York Daily News, which reports that the wonderful website thesmokinggun.com sent around 250 Christmas gifts to media outlets around New York: “O’Reilly Approved Loofahs.”

Bill Bastone, who runs the site that got more than 3.5 million hits for its posting of Andrea Mackris’s lawsuit against Bill O’Reilly, told the paper’s Lloyd Grove: “We think we’re probably the single largest client of the Massage Warehouse in Norcross, Georgia.”

You sure about that, Mr. Bastone? What about Mr. O’Reilly himself?

13. Good stuff
"Unfortunately, it also means that if you were trying to fix a vote in Ohio, or cover it up in a recount, you had merely to identify which precincts were least likely to be chosen (rather than randomly selected), and do your dirty work in them."

Yep, just pointing out the facts. :loveya: KO.

Well, now that he's gone ahead and posted while on vaco, what's the betting we get a response to the Brad Blog? Especially because of this bit from there: "For the record -- before filing this story! -- we spoke this afternoon to an MSNBC Countdown producer who preferred we keep his name off the record on this matter. That producer told The BRAD BLOG that "this was Keith Olbermann's writing. He didn't work with me or anyone else on this."

LOL, that's BOUND to piss him off. (I do loveya, KO, really I do, I guess at this point I am finding the dark comedy in all of this more enjoyable than anything else.)

14. You've got to love this guy - he does admit when he has the facts
incomplete:

"Mr. Kalo also points out details that make the recount situation in Hocking County, Ohio, seem far less closed than the County’s Assistant Prosecutor led me to believe. I guess I’m still a little naïve on such things, but it would seem to me that in telling his story of a “comedy of errors” involving the inspection of the main vote tabulator there by a representative of the voting machine manufacturer, Triad Systems, David Sams might have been mentioned that in addition to being Assistant Prosecutor, he is also (per Mr. Kalo) the legal representative of the Hocking County Board of Elections during the recount .

I thought we had a bad jobs situation in Ohio. How come so many civil servants there have to double up?"

36. KO makes an important point regarding lower-level election officials
When thay are uncooperative, or sidestep the Ohio laws that govern the recount, it doesn't necessarily mean that they are "in" on the fraud conspiracy. A more likely explanation is that they just want to avoid the onerous task of a full hand recount.

The conspirators, methinks, are far fewer in number, and much higher up.

Okay, a whole lot better than 'not bad'!

I particularly liked the points Keith made concerning the raw exit poll data and the nonsensical description of Nazis as "leftists," but the best moment came when he talked about the Chinese "Republicans."

I hope the poor guy gets some vacation time in before he comes back to work!

38. It certainly sounds less iffy than his previous blog
when he seemed to dismiss a lot of "anomalies."

In tonight's blog, there's this:

Mr. Kalo also points out details that make the recount situation in Hocking County, Ohio, seem far less closed than the County’s Assistant Prosecutor led me to believe...

But then, there's also this:

The process is repeated across the state. Benign intentions; potentially pernicious outcomes...

How does he know the intentions were "benign?"

But he does sound as if he's taking it more seriously-- he would have to, since new developments (significant ones, such as Conyers' letter) keep happening.

Stay tuned...

39. It's in the Details
Keith is the first journalist who has appreciated the subtle side of this. Everyone wants a simple solution/smoking gun situation, "Evil green man found in closet hacking the US election." But it is subtle, not simple.

If Ohio was hacked, and I am not sure it was or was not, then the key is in knowing how everyday BoE's operate and taking advantage of it. A good place to start is in the 3% random selection or lack of.

Vist the votecobb site as we are just starting to publish prelimanary reports and it is far from over.

The devil is in the details.
