Bear in mind that the media were the audience.

(He started out by saying that he protested Nixon's inauguration!)

Here are some of his comments:

...the corporate news media's unwillingness to cover the fact that there are as many as 30 million Americans who believe that Bush's election was secured fraudulently.

Yet we do not see a reference-- except here and there-- to the movement that is underway to challenge the election and get the American people to focus on the truth.

The disparity between the people who get their news themselves by putting it together looking at sources on the web and other places and the people who accept their reality as it is produced by you and fed to them each day is larger now than it has ever been before.

The corporate news media is losing ground at an alarming rate, creating an opportunity for us finally to create an alternative news media that reaches tens of millions of people.

What we in particular are planning on doing is giving the coverage to January 20th that our participation deserves. We will have a team of videographers who will go to the various venues who will capture the speeches, the performances, crowd reaction, one-on-one interviews, and any evidence of violence that is perpetrated...on them.

We'll create a rough-cut documentary that will be broadcast on the Internet that night and broadcast at our counter-inaugural ball.

We're perfectly happy to see you abdicate your role. The First Amendment is waiting for us to carry it forward and we regret that those of you who work for the commercial news media cannot be with us.

I think, ladies and gentlemen, that you have been duped again and that the reason for all the focus on Rumsfeld is because they need to feed you something other than the stolen election.

You are more than willing, as you always are, to take the bait.

So you're going to talk about Rumsfeld and not about whether or not Bush did or did not win a legitimate election and whether or not America's 228 year experiment in self government is effectively over.

5. I saw it. He really baited them. Said they'd have to pay for ball.

Said if they wanted to come to the counter-inaugural ball they'd have to pay to get it. Very insulting. His main point was that we don't need them because so many people use alternative means to get the news and we're wired in to that group. I liked the guy a lot.
