Kerry should have a press conference NOW!

I'm tired of all of the "statements" and "letters" about fraud to election officials in Ohio. I can't hear any more messages of "support" to the people actually fighting the fight for fair elections. If the big step "into the game" is another letter to Blackwell or another vague statement that we can parse to get some hope I will just scream!

It doesn't matter what legal procedure he's playing with now. The only way to have momentum, the only way to have change occur is for video. The MSM needs video to get all juiced up. The pundits need video to chat about. He was right to take away any ammunition they had by working behind the scenes. He was right to concede if he really never stopped fighting but he's got to step up now. He's got to come forward for all of the people who worked hard for his campaign and are devastated over the theft.

Enough behind the scenes crap! If it's not on TV it's not really happening. If he doesn't have a press conference and make on camera statements, it doesn't matter what word on the street is in Columbus or on our message boards. It provides nothing of substance. The time is now to let everybody in on the big strategy. The time is now to tell all of the American people what has happened to our voting system and how we have lost our representative democracy. The time is now to prepare the average person for the possibility that we are about to have a constitutional crisis and the election may not really be over. Mr. Closer- Close!

... Kerry, the former federal prosecutor, is building his case. It would be foolhardy for him to play his hand before he had every last concievable piece of relevant information/evidence needed before throwing down the gauntlet. Come on, don't tell me you never watch Law and Order. GOP would like nothing more than for him to shoot off too soon before having all his ducks in a row. Past experience with the courts and their "runaround" should tell you that. No holes can be left for the GOP to wiggle through.

Another point to consider is that Christmas day is almost upon us and many on this board have made hay out of the fact that the Bush Crime Cabal likes to let out the "bad news" just before the weekend or the holiday so MSM "loses it" amid the hubbub and lack of viewers.

Kind of a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" type of situation.

They will tell you that Kerry is a great man, that he's a prosecutor and that he works slowly. Also that he has a fabulous behind-the-scenes plan that's about to come out any day now and that you'll have to eat your own words when it does.

Also that you're being negative and that you are unhappy with yourself. Others will call you bi-polar (like I was in another thread).

They will also tell you that Kerry was right to concede because the media was going to eat him alive if he didn't, that we don't want the same thing that happened to Gore, do we!! They will tell you that Kerry is always right and you are always wrong.

But they will also tell you that THIS IS NOT ABOUT KERRY, that this is about fighting for every vote, that they are OK with Bush in the White House as long as Kerry tells them through aids every now and then that 'every vote MUST count'.

If you post this in 2008, they will ask you to give Kerry a little more time, he's almost there!!! He's grabbing these criminals any day now. He's got a plan, how dare you question that????!

There will be little to no news for the next few days. If he launches the story now, he will be the ONLY story. The Bushies do not want to escalate the violence in Iraq over Christmas if they can help it, because it wont make people at home feel good about the war.

If Kerry can not file until next week, then Olbermann will report on it on Monday night, and the the NYT will pick it up on Tuesday and CNN and FOX will belatedly mention it on Wednesday. Meanwhile, on Monday, the Bushies can launch a major offensive in Iraq supposedly in retaliation for the lunch suicide bombing. This will completely saturate the airwaves until New Years eve. Before you know it, it will be Jan 6.

Some news person once said the best time to sell your story is on Sunday afternoon because nothing happens on Sunday. Nothing happens on Christmas Eve. Come on, Kerry. You are a politician. Act like one. Use the press.
