Do I get my $60 back from WA recount ??
<<After the first two recounts, Democrats agreed to cover the cost of more than $700,000 for an unprecedented hand recount. Under election rules, the state will reimburse the money if the recount reverses the tally. >>>>>>>>>

I dont mind if they apply it to another recount org, that really needs the money. includimg bbv , if bbv shows more open books..

3. If they do not use the money now, there is always a fight on the horizon
They will eventually need it as long as repubs are around.

4. BBV is not a recount org
They are there to audit and find problems. In fact, they specifically say that they are not allowed to be partisan or participate in recounts, due to their particular non-profit status.

5. I'm sure they had to spend SOME of the money
on legal defense etc. BUT you could write and ask them what happens to the balance and whether it could go to help in New Mexico, for example.

It seems a reasonable request, but since $250,000 came from Kerry and an equal amount from the DNC it would seem they would be more concerned with it than we would.

6. The WA Repubs are going to court and the Demos may need some of
that money to defend thier mandate.

I wondered, in an academic sense, the same thing though I don't expect to be re-imbursed.

Hopefully they will roll any left over into other recount fights.

7. They can keep my $120
and use it to further the cause. I am so happy we won a fight it feels great!

And even if we didn't win we needed every vote counted. If only that could be done else where...

8. Proud that I contributed to the turn around
in an academic sense, Is what I was thinking of when I started the thread, now reflecting some more on it I'm proud I contributed in my small way, whatever they do with it is OK, well OK with limits, such as if the dnc and Kerry had a clause in their $$$$ that if it was overturned they would get theirs back in full. That would irk me..
