1. DEMS everywhere are waking up

This is the new blog from the man (Dick Bell) that brought us the official K/E blog during the election.

A Three Ringed Circus

[Editor’s note: Rep. John Conyers is leading the fight to get Congress to agree to investigate the 2004 election. There are a number of groups that are focusing on this investigation, some old and some newly hatched. At democrats.com, Bob Fertik has an election investigation blog.

16. Maybe I should call ole
Bill :scared: Frist and Lamar "I used the University of Tennessee as a stepping stone" Alexander.

Better yet - I could e-mail them and call them chickens for not investigating this. I could say that, if they don't, then they will look guilty of fraud because of their ignoring it.

Lamar doesn't like me, anyway. I gave him hell when I was a student reporter and he was the university president and then Education Secretary, who, ironically, tried to stop students and parents from getting campus crime information.

And Bill? He's the anti-Christ. Or, at least, that's the first thing that came to my mind when I interviewed him during his first Senate campaign against Jim Sasser.

Fascist thugs.

19. Those are my senators, too. I wrote them and told them that they
work for me and I would be ashamed of them if they didn't try to protect the right to vote for everyone. I haven't gotten a response.

15. Ha! I was going to say something just like that
Rabid dogs? You mean like Savage, Limbaugh, Hannity, Coulter, etc.? They've got that act down.

It's the acting like reasonable people that flummoxes them. Both the 'reasonable' and 'people' aspects.

3. fight what? 42 vote diff makes for automatic recount...
she won by 10 if they bitch about the new 500 ballots... no fight the votes were counted... BRING 'EM ON! Here's the thing, I think Dems accept an honest outcome... but the reps don't accept anything if it's not in their court.

6. She won by 130? or something like that. I just read it in another thread
that they had the missed absentees counted now and her lead was increased. Is that a mandate?

20. That's the best part -- she won without the extra counts. nt

4. I just heard interview with Christine on NPR and I'm pissed.
Asked about "do over." Whole interview was antagonistic instead of "congratulatory."

If I had any other source of news, I would boycott NPR from this moment on!

5. Write them and ask why they failed to congratulate the New Governor
on her win.

Let that anger lead to action!

8. Oh I did!
This is basically what I said:

I am furious with Melissa Block and her accusatory questions for Governor Gregoire. An election result, no matter how small the margin, is the result. Just because the Republicans didn't get the result they wanted, when the votes were counted correctly, doesn't mean they get to do it over.

What happened to journalistic integrity? Now I can be sure Melissa Block is a registered Republican and is just spewing the party line.

Get over it! Ms. Gregoire won.

The address is atc@npr.org if anyone else wants to write to them. You can listen from a link near the bottom of this linked page.

Gregoire Discusses Washington's Gubernatorial Race

After a hand recount in the hotly disputed, topsy-turvy race for governor of Washington state, Democrat Christine Gregoire now appears to have won by 130 votes. The original count had Republican Dino Rossi the victor by 261 votes out of more than 2.8 million cast. NPR's Melissa Block talks with Gregoire.

12. Count the votes. Count em all as many times as you like. But you don't
get a new election unless you can show that the previous election was rigged or people were denied their rights. You don't get a new election just because it was close.

14. For reasons obvious to many here, I truly hope the Republicans...
....demand a re-vote. I hope they scream for a re-vote. I hope they spend tons of money on advertising claiming the need for a re-vote.

Encourage them to do just that.

Peace.
