Sick of writing all those letters? Ready to give up? Inspiration here |

When you feel like you just can't get into writing another letter to a senator, congressperson, election official or a news outlet, just remember, all those folks telling us now to MOVE ON, GET OVER IT, LET IT GO, are the same freaking people who dragged Bill Clinton through the mud for eight solid years.
Eight years, over 60 million dollars, to find a nasty blue dress and NOTHING more. "B-b-b-but HE lied to us." Yes, but nobody died, the economy flourished, the budget was balanced, Wall Street was happy as a clam and the deficit was LOWERED.
NOW tell me to get over THIS election knowing that the last one was also stolen.
Don't get mad, get even. I mean that in a good way. Put your anger in your fingertips and write, write, write until Jan. 6 and 20th when it's march, march, march.

3. Here are my suggestions |
|
These get my blood boiling: 1. Watch the opening of F-911. 2. Watch this video about voter suppression and disenfranchisement: http://www.thefreespeechzone.net/3. Read these very strong words about why this battle is so important: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2004/12/15/9734/4841 http://www.dailykos.com/comments/2004/12/15/9734/4841/470#470

4. How Can You Get Over This Please Read |
|
Here Is Something I Just Heard On The News. A Serviceman Had His Forearm Shot Off In Iraq. Instead Of Getting $4400 For Back Pay He Got A Bill From The Government For $6000 For Medical Transportation. And Get This For Leaving His Equipment In The Field After He Was Wounded.
* Has Got To Go

5. If one from every county in the US wrote once a week, we would |
|
become the MASS MEDIA.
And frankly, the best way to do it is to send a letter, not an email. Darn!
So, I'm starting a group with people who will commit to writing at least one letter a month to one of the newspapers here in Tennessee. We may even want to make a commitment to write on certain subjects during the same time frime (like Social Security now) to try to magnify the effect.
What can we do? We can get our voices out there and be heard.
And, my experience is that I get lots of kudos from locals who see my letters so it's a lift for my spirits when that happens.
I hate having to work so hard at something the media should be doing but I'm not willing to have my country be stolen without a fight.
