14. The truth; Mike is right

the Democratic party is AGAINST THE WAR. Our "leaders" have compromised themselves for "electability". What choice did they have? The media beat the drums 24/7 FOR the war and convinced the sheeple that it was a GOOD thing. The tide was turning, by the polls, and Kerry and Edwards should have spoken out against it.


By the way, after Mike was on last time, I wrote and told them they insulted him by giving him the chance for only one comment. I suggested that Mike not come back on unless they could give him at least 15 minutes of solid time. I don't know if it helped. But there he is. Everyone, please write the show and thank them for letting Mike speak out this time. Also, suggest to them that in future they BALANCE their "panel". Three Republicans against one Democrat is anything but fair. Also, please write to Mike and thank him for speaking the truth as he does.

Did you read Jeff Cohen's (FAIR) statement about why he stopped working with Phil Donahue? It wasn't Phil -- it was the network insisting that for every Dem there had to be two Repubs. When they invited Al Franken (I think) the network insisted that there be three Repubs. Jeff jokes that he wanted to invited Noam Chomsky on the show but the studio wouldn't hold the 67 Repubs that they would have to invite for balance.

One thing he MIGHT have reminded that IDIOT from the Manhattan Institute who so cavalierly referred to sleep deprivation as "missing beauty sleep" is that John McCain said of torture "it's wrong and it doesn't work anyway".

How anyone can defend what is being done to those detainees is completely beyond me. And for her to make the statement that we don't know if they are planning to fly jets into buildings is COMPLETELY LUDICROUS. In the first place, these people have not been charged with anything. In the second place, they are IRAQIS. Saudis and Egyptians flew those planes into the buildings, if you believe the "official story". And what about the involvement of the Israelis?

The torture is wrong through and through and--as Mike rightly pointed out it is the FBI that has reported that Bush is to blame.
