Take the Fight to the Right
(New York, 12/23 10:00 PM) Flying up to New York seemed like the only way not to become a prop to be used by Allan Combs and Michael, ah Michael Whatever on Fox News at 9:00 and no doubt it helped. If you do it remotely from DC you can be sure they use your image without permitting you to speak your own words. It wasn't all that much better being live in the studio, since they wanted a visual aid for a story called Thundering Crazies Come to Protest Our President, and alas that is pretty much what they got. Only at Fox could Alan Combs be considered part of the political opposition in this country.
Anyway, tonight's brief sojourn in NYC follows a great hour long program we produced ourselves at Solar Power News Network that you should be able to replay tonight. It puts our top arguments for why the 2004 presidential election was fraudulent and has long segments from Rev. Bill Moss and Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee's speeches in Columbus a few weeks back.
We will post our target list of almost 80 names of Democrats who could plausibly support the Challenge drawn first and foremost from the ranks of the Congressional Black Caucus and the Congressional Progressive Caucus. I think our goal should be to have these 80 on our side publicly by 1/3, which would give us a chance to secure the overwhelming majority of the Democrats. We love Nancy Pelosi as much as the next guy, but it would surely rock the party to have that many Democrats stand up for what they believe to be true even if Pelosi continues to live partially in the reality-based community and partially in the world of twisted reality as represented by the right and the news media.
Our cause has been aided considerably today by the addition to our legal team of soon-to-be-former Florida Congressman Peter Deutsch, who said he'd only help us if we could present to him a compelling case of widespread voter fraud in Florida. Bev Harris pretty much won him over. Thanks to Bev and the BlackBoxVoting.org team for enabling us to win a forceful and articulate advocate over to our side.
What's next? You can expect us to put together a press conference for the middle of next week when news is slow to update the press on a bunch of stuff: Our first major post-election fundraising mailing to Volvo owners in DC and SF and the launch of the Robert Morris Fund, the names of the people who have joined the legal team for the challenge, the cities in which there will be major events on 1/3, the speakers' roster for 1/6 and further progress on permits for at least our events for the CounterInaugural. Now is your chance to look at what we spend your donations on and please help do more of everything. We are politically astute, national in scope, have a good network of friends in Washington and a dynamic, talented and motivated staff of organizers. If you are politically astute enough to know that no one named Clinton or Podesta or Richetti or McAuliffe will step up to help us until we no longer need their help then please summons your patriotic outrage and join us or one of our worthy collaborators in the only cause that matters: Defending Democracy in America.
