RECOUNT OHIO LAUNCHES CUTTING-EDGE RADIO ADVERTISEMENT IN COLUMBUS, OHIO

Thank you so much for your generous contributions and support. Three weeks ago we asked you to send us your scripts ideas for a radio advertisement on the Ohio Recount. Your response was overwhelming, as we received over 100 scripts.

The RecountOhio Team read through all of the submissions and found a common message in all of the scripts: Comparing the election in Ohio to the recent election in the Ukraine. This was a powerful message and we used it as the basis of our radio advertisement .

Thank you again for submitting your script ideas. We would not have been able to produce the radio advertisement without your help.

The radio advertisement is currently airing on AM 1230 in the Columbus metropolitan area. It will be on the air multiple times throughout the day over the next week. This is the Air America station in Columbus, Ohio. Please feel free to send us your feedback at [e-mail]

5. i got it thru an email

and i replied with my opinion.

i think the idea is great of course, but there are two HUGE flaws.

1) they refer to it as 'voter fraud' - which it is NOT. Voters did not commit the crimes.

2) There is not a 'recount' in Ukraine, there will be a REVOTE.


if at least those to things can be fixed, i would endorse it vocally but until then, i'm sorry but i don't.

10. It's too melodramatic for me.

The noise from the "crowd" is a bit much, and the music is quite forbidding in tone. Since I'm not a media artist, I can't offer any alternatives or suggestions for improvement.

Yes, I understand how serious the stakes are, but the tone is so dark and creepy. Can there be a more positive approach to this, to point out that it isn't just Ohio, it's democracy itself? Sort of a theme that all future roads to democracy come out of Ohio? Maybe that we're at a fork in the road, that the crossroads is Ohio?

I don't know, my creative imagination is tapped out. But if I heard this ad once, then the next time I heard it starting up, I would change the dial.

Sorry, again, so very sorry. JMHO.

13. I didn't think it was so bad, my only problem was that

it is airing on the "Air America" station, which is kind of like preaching to the choir. There must be other stations?
