and hope all his clan is well too.

This is a real disaster. I worked with a woman from an island which gets popped regularly by typhoons and her stories of just the usual storm damage, death & destruction make you stop and realign your priorities. This thing must be such a horrible disaster for so many good people.

Our prayers go out... let's hope we fill a lot of relief planes and get them airborne ASAP too. People will be needing food, water, clothing and shelter most likely. Would guess doctors and vaccines would be useful too.

It's hard to even begin to imagine the scale of this disaster from the videos.

I don't know Oversea Visitor; I've only read his (or her) posts. But this morning when I heard of the earthquake and the resulting tsunamis, I remembered that he lives in Malaysia, and I was just hoping he was okay. I guess it's just an illustration of how we can touch people's lives sometimes without realizing it.

for other countries in Malaysia
Sadly our MERCY team is in Phillipines to help the flood victims.
Now this happen. No rest for Christmas season.
Malaysia did not get the brunt of it. So we ok and we helping our neighbouring countries now.

and decided to come home for Christmas! He had reservations for Puket (sp) Dec. 24-29. He said something just told him to come home.

19. Yes, bad news from Phuket

Seems that Phuket, Phi Phi and Krabi were hit especially hard. Thoughts and prayers are with the people in Southern Thailand and throughout SE Asia.

That area of Southern Thailand is the most beautiful place I've ever been. Reports say the entire coastal beach was and all the resort islands were virtually swept away.

of joy and almost clicked back, because I was satisfied...but it is more than about me...I am crying for all the dead AND all the survivors...what a horrible, terrible thing that happened that I cannot imagine the enormity of? So I clicked back in to say

THANK GOD OUR FRIEND OVERSEA VISITOR IS SAFE AND HERE WITH US! AND ALL OUR ASIAN FRIENDS WHO SURVIVED THIS HORROR! 9/11 HAS NOTHING ON THIS CATASTROPHE!
