Vigil at John Kerry's house ...Coalition Against Election Fraud
in case I buried it under the wrong caption ...for those of you interested in putting your actions behind your mouths with Kerry ...

Daily Vigil at Senator John Kerry's House, 12/28 - 1/5
Coalition Against Election Fraud

There will be a daily vigil from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Senator John Kerry's
house at Louisburg Square on Beacon Hill in Boston, starting Tuesday,
December 28 - Wednesday, January 5. On New Year's Eve only the vigil will
be from 4:00-5:00 p.m.

- We are asking Senator Kerry not to certify the electoral college vote on
January 6, 2005 and to encourage other Senators and Representatives not to
certify.

- We are asking Senator Kerry to support any other Senators and
Representatives who are planning not to certify.

This vigil is sponsored by the Coalition Against Election Fraud
You can direct questions to us at vigil@caef.us

2. This is a great idea...
Wish I still lived in Sudbury, Massachusetts. I would join this action. As it is, I emailed as many liberal Senators as I could think of, including Sen. Kerry, about this matter.

Good luck! Post some pictures if you can!

In peace, Radio_Lady

Busy coordinating this investigation, I mean.

I just hope all of the freepers and wingnuts who now know how to get to his house don't show up, too.

8. Since Kerry conceded so quickly, I doubt if he'll withhold his vote
I was very disappointed by how fast Kerry conceded after the election, and that very fact doesn't give me much hope that he'll withhold his vote to certify. But the vigil certainly doesn't hurt--and may actually inspire others to withhold their vote.

9. I definitely commiserate with the effort, but do you really think it'd be
a good idea for him -personally- to get into the limelight on this issue right now? I'm terribly afraid it would be perceived by a LOT of people as a "sore loser" strategy. Yes, I know all about the bogus "election", but don't forget we're dealing with a body politic that probably actually did award ~50M votes for the Chimp. I guess there really is no 'good' timing for doing anything pro-active...it has probably been "too soon" up until some point, after which it will be "too late."

The question is, of course exactly when IS the precise point in time to do it? DAMIFINO...

10. A wonderful strategy
A message from MLK I wish I cd give to JK

Cowardice asks the question, 'Is it safe?'
Expediency asks the question,'Is it politic?'
Vanity asks the question, "Is it popular?'
But conscience asks the question, 'Is it right?'
And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but because conscience tells one it is right.

15. Great quote by MLK
Edited on Mon Dec-27-04 12:31 AM by proudbluestater
America has never had a speaker as eloquent as Martin Luther King. There was a man who really DID have divine inspiration. His words just flowed like a river.

Reminds me of that song, Abraham, Martin and John. "Anybody here seen my old friend John...?"

13. With your timidity I'm scared it may have been catching
Yes, it is a good thing for him to get in the limelight, yes it is a good thing for him to shore up our last lagging bits of support, yes it is a good time to stand up and be strong in the face of rampant fraud in the election, and yes it is WAY HIGH TIME for him to support us who have given so much of our time, energy and money.

Yes, high time before nothing he may ever do again will ever matter again.

There's a couple of different times posted -- I'm going to be writing a couple of places tomorrow to get a solid time. Keep an eye on these links. -- the earliest it would start would be 11 -- I'm going to try and make it there by then just in case. Hope you can make it! Where in Ohio are you? I'm in the Cinci area

42. Vacationing in Jesusland?
He's out skiing in Red snow, riding a Red ski lift, eating Red food, and buying Red gasoline.

How dare he?

That's a pure-D slap in the face to every good DU-er that is fighting for him, and for the integrity of our electoral process.

If he really cared about us, he'd take his ski vacation in Vermont, and "spend Blue."

27. Thanks for pointing that out.
I was wondering about that whole thing myself. I mean, our good friends, John D. and Jane D. FReeper are surely watching... Not to mention the fact that there are some people, who are not necessarily Republicans, that really ought to not have this information. They might go and commit unquestionable acts in the name of "the cause." I really wish there was a way of divining who we could trust on here... Alas! I still don't think it is such a good idea to post directions to his house on here. I mean, why not hold a vigil in Washington in front of Senate? How many here would be comfortable with their home address, much less directions, be given for God knows who to see?

JMHO... My humble sane opinion. I don't think that Senator Kerry would care for this -- it can very easily be construed as crossing the lines. Stalking in a way... There are better ways to get a message across. Excellent idea, but a bit creepy...

I had the same concerns in my earlier post (#7). Just because someone can do something doesn't mean they should do it. Your idea about holding the vigil in front of the Senate is excellent. Far better than publicly giving out directions to someone's private home.

32. Hey, Liberals! Stop worrying...
...about being too pushy. Or stepping on someone's toes.

You may well inherit the earth, but that's no way to take your country back.

We must ALL rush noisily to any action like this that we can stage.

You must make the injustice visible -- Gandhi

If at all possible, get your butt out there for at least one session. It only takes a couple more people to turn a "group" into a "crowd."

If anyone up there can manage it, set up a webcam. Then many more can attend virtually and we can publish a sign-in list of "attendees."

Just stop worrying and DO something.

37. Damn straight, Senator!!
I'm sick to death of the prissy "progressives" (sic) here in Tennessee who are too genteel (or just too downright lazy and thin-skinned) to get in this battle. We need to be on the phones and in front of computers calling and writing our representatives (and everyone we know) and we need to be in the streets -- everywhere -- now, taking this country back. If I were in Boston or Ketchum, I'd be in front of the Kerrys' home, showing them that we have their back (and their front and their sides). As it is, we're working on another Gathering To Save Our Democracy here in Nashville, planning to take a bus load to Columbus, OH on 1/3 and to DC on 1/6 and discussing being in front of our senators' offices in Nashville on January 6 to show solidarity for the DC marchers.

This time, THE REVOLUTION WILL BE TELEVISED. And it may not be pretty BUT it will be the most important thing we do for this country in our lifetimes.
