10. Cliff says election was not only stolen in Ohio, |
|
but in other states too. He says votes were moved nationwide. They wanted to have the appearance of a decisive win for * in order to avoid recounts and all the court challenges that happened when Al Gore's win was stolen in Flordia!

|
he said, it means the higher court will get the case. Now Jeff is calling in from Arizona saying we can't prove who won because no paper trails. Cliff is saying it is unimaginable that we gave our vote over to machines.

31. Arnebeck gone now, but Thom still talking about election fraud |
|
he's saying that the paperless machines can never be verified. He's also talking about the voter suppression in Ohio and the fact that the Repubs got away with suppression in Flordia in 2000. Now he's talking about the campaign to get a Senator to question the veracity of the vote. This brings us back to the original problem, which is ES&S voting machines, Chuck Hagel's old company. Oddly, all of these voting machine companies have heavy connections with Repubs.
Hartmann is also saying he has resisted believing the election could be rigged, but now he is starting to believe it. He's talking about Congressman Rush Holt who was on his program 2 years ago. He put in legislation to simply require the machines to have a paper receipt, something that would actually enhance the profits of the voting machine companies. Yet, the Repubs. almost totally opposed the legislation. Tom DeLay told the Repubs. not to go near that legislation and don't dare put your name on it. Not one member of the Senate Repubs. has come forward with any kind of a rational answer not to have a paper trail on the machines.

34. Hey! thom is talking about my former Rep. Rush Holt! |
|
Unfortunately, even here in Central NJ where Rush has offered all kinds of forum on e-voting perils, many didn't do enough to protect our votes. Go figure?!! The cons just don't like Democratic votes to count. Sickening. I've asked KO to invite Rush on with the cons who wouldn't let Rush's bill come to house floor for a vote. Hasn't happened yet. Rush Holt is the kind of Rep that every democracy deserves. I was redistricted though and now I have Mike Ferguson. I like to call him my UN-representative. He's useless.

37. As I understand the Chamber of Commerce ruling: |
|
It is illegal for corporations to donate $ to State Supreme Court elections (since 1907). Ohio Chamber has tried to get around the law by collecting the monies and donating.
Cliff has been fighting for four years to force the Chamber to divulge the corporate donors. A lower court ruled for Cliff, but the Chamber appealed to the Ohio Supreme Court. TODAY, the court refused to hear it.
So this is a victory for Cliff, but he says he expects it to go to the US Supreme court.
It is interesting, because, of course, MOYERS would have benefited from these corporate $$$$!!!!

Moyer was a BIG recipient of illegal corporate donations through the CC.
Arnebeck's suit wants to SEE the list of corporate donors.
