5. And consideration I had for his "integrity" went out the window
when he went before the UN regarding WMDs in Iraq.

9. Yeah, I thought at first he might have been misled, but then
again, he's a very intelligent man, and, as you said, he could have left the administration at any point if he felt their actions were at odds with his beliefs.

6. He basically said that he was glad to see the Ukraine as such a shining
example of Democracy. That the media in Ukraine showed much less bias and more fairness th is time around, etc.

Sorry that I cannot relay more, but I was kind of multi-tasking at the time. Hopefully someone else who watched the press conference can help fill in the blanks.

11. Powell. The guy who fronted for the Bush admin on CNN re Venezuela Coup
If you haven't seen the movie about our "meddling" in Venezuela, you owe it to yourself to watch it. "The Revolution Will Not Be Televized"... extraordinary movie exposing what we did and how Powell went on TV to congratulate the people of Venezuela for their "new-found democracy".

Anyway... See this thread: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x2870381

The Bush Admin pumped way over $65 million into getting Yushchenko in.

10. Putin said that U.S. was behind demonstrations
and fraud claims, NPR said yesterday. I posted this on another thread too, sorry if it is old news and for double posting, I thought it was interesting.

13. It seems to me that Bush had a definite interest....
....in getting Yushchenko elected. The Ukraine situation definitely puzzles me.
