The MSM ignores election fraud- should we contact the foreign press?
I am serious. The election fraud story should be important enough to be international news, and so is the story about the American press ignoring the story.

I have a link to world newspapers but I wondered what everyone thinks first...

3. Good Idea.
I am sure the foreign press would like nothing more than to show the U.S. MSM is just a puppet of corporate interests.

5. Ideas on what to include in such a letter?
If you were a foreign journalist what would you need to know to get started?

9. Many papers in Britiain. Australia,NewZealand,
Someone sent copies to German papers. Its been a couple of weeks and I've deleted all the sent files... Sorry that's the best I can do.
Here's a copy of the letter FYI (feel free to use any part of it).

Dear Friend,

This is awkward but we need to ask for your help. Many of us are frustrated and coming up short on getting the “free press” in our country to cover the travesty that is being called a fair election in our country (some wonder if they have been silenced). No, we are not from the Ukraine, the Ukraine’s election irregularities receive ample coverage here, we are citizens of the United States of America. The 2004 election was contaminated.

The situation we now find ourselves in is one where the Democratic Head of the Judiciary Committee has formed a group with other congressmen to objectively examine the irregularities the citizens of the nation have communicated to them. Representative Conyers is a brave man as are his colleagues. Today they held a forum “ Judiciary Democratic Forum Preserving Democracy - What Went Wrong in Ohio” in Washington DC. Many statements were gathered regarding: Voter intimidation, Exit Polls vs. Actual Vote Numbers, (Same thing our administration had such a fit over in Ukraine), Citizens being disenfranchised through allocation of polling machines, Faulty election machines and areas where Election observers and the press were locked out from being able to view the counting due to claims, later proved untrue, that the FBI and Homeland Security had declared the area a high risk. These are a few of the statements, there are MANY more.

We are saddened to say that not one Republican committee member joined the process to listen to the people’s voices although Representative Conyers invited them.
We are saddened to say that not one Main Stream Media Station covered this forum, and thankful to CSPAN and Keith Olbermann of MSNBC for doing so.

The recount in Ohio will begin soon and many investigators feel that there is a real chance for the final total to show that the wrong man conceded. In addition, election fraud is suspected, and evidence for this fraud will be part of the litigation that is being filed in Ohio. The committee formed by Representative Conyers has promised to go to Ohio and hold hearings however, without the Republicans joining the effort the perceived legitimacy of the hearings will be weakened.

Without the MAINSTREAM media covering this issue as something other then a filler, it will be difficult to force the Republicans to be accountable to this process. This will continue to enable the Republicans in power and much of the public to ignore the whole situation. This situation is dangerous, not only with respect to the integrity and validity to the results of this election, but also to all future elections in our country. OUR DEMOCRACY IS IN CRISIS... therefore our plea to your journalists.

We need your help to look at and research the story and use your free press to speak for us while our press sleeps.
Further, we need your help to use your free press to ask why it is that this current administration in the United States can find the election process in the Ukraine abhorrent, yet chooses to ignore potentially widespread election irregularities in the United States.

We need your help if you can find it within yourselves to give. If you have any questions or need for information we will be glad to help.

Sincerely,

12. I have searched Google news every day for a news story on
election fraud in the US and haven't found one. Lots of international coverage on the Ukraine, nothing international on the US.

10. BBC London Phone Number
011 44 208 743 8000 (Television Centre)

011 44 208 433 2000 (BBC Worldwide)

I don't know which of these would be best to call. I tried the first one and wound up talking to someone at the Foreign Intake Desk, who said the Washington office would be the ones to decide whether to cover anything in the States.

Quite frankly, the person I spoke with in London wasn't interested in the least. I was asked to send an e-mail with details, which I did. It was ignored. Maybe if enough people contact them, though, they'll take some notice.

13. Does anyone have a list of MSM sponsors?
Somebody besides the GOP is helping to pay their bills. Declare a boycott of products and services of companies that advertise on their networks, and flood their mail and email with letters informing them of the boycott until they pull their ads. I don't watch the MSM anymore. This is utterly ridiculous! We lost Bernard Shaw after the 2000 election. Now this year we've lost Dan Rather and Tom Brokow. The only ones left are scrubs who have their hands so deep in the GOP's pocket, unbiased news reporting is not even an option to them. Absolutely yes to the international media!

TV Networks Officially Refuse to Release Exit Poll Raw Data; Mainstream media finally displays true colors
by Gary Beckwith
December 22, 2004

For those watching the growing body of evidence concerning election fraud in our past presidential election, one question has remained: Why don't we hear about this on the evening news?

As of yet it's been hard to explain why the controversies in Ukraine make the headlines, but when similar problems are discovered at home, you have to scour the Internet to find the information.

It certainly isn't for lack of events on which to report. Members of The House Judiciary Committee have been meeting regularly reviewing evidence of systematic voter suppression and voting machine tampering. A coalition of lawyers have filed a lawsuit against the Bush campaign citing deliberate manipulation of votes. Sworn testimony and signed affidavits have implicated companies, individuals, and a Florida congressman.

-snip-
While it's frustrating that we still can't see the exit polls, let's thank the media for at least resolving one thing for us today. Now we know why we don't see stories about the election on the evening news. Their refusal to release the exit polls shows us categorically that there is a concerted effort on behalf of the major media outlets to consciously prevent the information from getting out. It's not simple oversight, and it's not because they don't think it's newsworthy. Now we know. They are withholding information from us.

Now that that's been resolved, we can move on to the next question: What are they hiding, and why?
