1. Where was he throughout the campaign??
Right there and speaking up - and being totally ignored by Corporate Media. I'm guessing the same's true even more so now...

NGU.

3. Well...
Not to get into a growling match with anyone, but the people who worked his campaign, who live in his district, and who are working on this issue now (i.e. the people who would know what Dennis is up to without the need for the MSM) are asking the same question.

It's frustrating.

9. I suppose frustrating
is one word for it. I don't want to diss Dennis (I don't think anyone does), but what do you think is going on? I just don't get it.

5. Conyers and Nadler are getting a wee bit of coverage...
and definitely major internet buzz. The same cannot be said of Kucinich. I agree he is consistently ignored by Corporate Media, but where was he on Dec 8?

12. Kucinich's own website is ignoring it
There's more on there about Kofi Annan than about the Ohio recount.

16. GOOD FUCKING QUESTION
If he is the man that I think he is, a man I would donate all my time to his campaign for, he is waiting for enough proof to pounce for the kill. If not, I will never support him again.

18. How about calling his office and asking him?
Knowing him, he's probably doing a lot. Call his office and then post the response.

19. His quiet means something is definitely going on "behind the scenes."
We haven't heard "a Peep" from Gore, either. Yet, one would think the media would have staked out his house to get him to comment on the Dems "losing" ANOTHER election. Judy Woodruff would have been deligted to personally hound him until he answered her.

Al Sharpton has been very low key...not joining with Jesse Jackson on this.

I take this as a "hopeful" sign. Now if we just can get one House and one Senate member to stand up on Jan. 6th...they will all have plenty to talk about and so will we!

Hi Mike,

I get over to DU once a day generally, but can’t keep up with it all. Dennis has issued two statements in support of the recount. The first was published in Common Dreams:

http://www.commondreams.org/views04/1110-31.htm

Our techie in Cleveland, Turo Dexter, is also one of the recount volunteer coordinators and a number of other people from the campaign are working on the recount and keeping Dennis up to date on what they are learning first hand.

As you know, he has warned about electronic voting all along. He was warning about electronic voting without paper trails when no one else would talk about it:

http://www.kucinich.us/issues/e_voting.php

We can’t put new material on the website until the transfer from Presidential campaign to the re-elect committee is finalized, but we try to keep each other caught up through our forums.
http://www.kucinich.us/phpBB2/

Dennis has been speaking out about Kyoto, the UN and other things as well; we keep it all on the forums.

Pardon the brevity of this note, but I am trying to get some things finished up so I can leave for Texas on Monday for a couple of weeks of holiday traveling. I will be working some, but not much.

Hope this helps some.

Best regards,

Claudia

Subject: The status of the Recount

Hello again Claudia,

I haven’t written in a while but I have been paying attention and writing on the DU. I have also been spreading the word the best way I can. I have been talking to people and letting them know what’s going on. So many people have no idea that any of this is going on. It’s a very bizarre time. It’s so hard to stay on top of the sea of information that is flooding this country. I believe the dam will break soon. There are so many people screaming about this. It sometimes seems like the whole world has been watching as we few struggle in the darkness to light a spark. Things are really flickering now. So I have sent a letter to the FBI requesting their involvement in the election fraud. I sent them a bundle of information and gave them a good pep talk. I expect they’ll be coming to investigate real soon. I don’t think Rep. Conyers has as much clout as I do but I understand he sent one as well. Every little bit helps I guess.

In a discussion on DU a person attacked Mr. Kucinich. I began to refute the post but I wanted to get my facts straight. I also was curious as to Mr. Kucinich’s level of participation in this recount. I have seen very little media coverage of him but that’s really no surprise. All the ballots in Ohio could spontaneously combust in a freezer and there’d be about as much media coverage. I was hoping to get an update from you so I can let people know the truth.

I also wanted to wish you and all the fine folks I have spoken to at Rep. Kucinich’s office, a Merry Christmas. I hope this holiday brings blessings on you and your families.

Sincerely,

Michael Lewis
