NOW I SOUND SCHIZO, BUT DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Edited on Mon Dec-27-04 08:57 PM by Faye
after losing my cool and flipping the hell out like never before, i have a feeling this might have been to keep the media out of it longer. it sounds like they might be trying to confuse the Republicans Bush/Cheney camp. to keep this running smoothly until they have inspected the machines and ballots.

REGARDLESS, WE CAN NOT GIVE UP. KEEP FIGHTING THE FRAUD, KEEP THINKING ABOUT JAN. 6TH. we have come to far to
O let a 'legal' statement stop us now. DO NOT RETREAT.

this is my calm side. yes, i am schizo

to win or lose. WE will still march and make them take back this election fraud. Washington will be our battle ground and we will take her over and stake our claim to a fair and free election system where every woman and man can cast a vote which will be counted correctly.

23. betrayed, yes...
that is the feeling. I thought today was the big day for something to really start turning around, for the stolen election to start really coming out! I can't understand this... I feel quite discouraged now, to hear those words from Kerry's side, that there was no fraud, that the election is over?!!

6. Faye, It Was The COVERUP That Did In Nixon. Kerry's Team Will NEVER
be able to prove fraud... without looking into machines and doing a hell of a lot of discovery.

And a great deal of the info they'd need will be covered up destroyed, altered and lost.

It is most likely that we'll end up catching malfeasance due to COVERUPS.

14. That's right - the cover-up is where they always get caught!
Blackwell has already screwed up several times in trying to cover his butt.
Fraud can't be proven until the evidence is secured.
Kerry always has been a gentleman. " Now, I'm not ACCUSING anyone of PURPOSEFULLY and KNOWINGLY doing anything wrong here, but...."

it again, I truly think this is a psyOps game. It has to be. Look at Katherine Blackwell trying to make it to where he can plead the 5th after the lawsuit by Kerry campaign was filed today. I do believe they wouldn't have filed the lawsuit today if they didn't have something.

Whew! I guess this is why we must all help each other through this emotional rollercoaster. LOL! :hugs:

11. There is definitely more to this
If Kerry did anything right now that convinced Bush he was in danger of being kicked out of office, the evidence would be destroyed before they had a chance to examine it. Then there would be no proof left at all. I think Kerry is playing this for keeps, to bring down these people who would destroy our democracy. This isn't just about him becoming president anymore. It's bigger than that.

13. The positives I saw
A week or so ago, Fineman was on Countdown. Do you recall what he said about the Jan 6th challenge..."Aint gonna happen" he was so snide.

He changed his tune a bit today.

This is all about what K/E campaign is doing and not, at this time, about what they are saying.

This is all about what WE are doing to take control of our Democracy back.

The evidence will speak for itself, if we are able to secure it.

19. Faye... this is not the lawyer who filed today!!
Sorry to c+p my own post, but here it is from your other thread:

-----------------------

The remarks are Hoffheimer's, the first lawyer. The motion was filed by McTigue, the new lawyer. It isn't the same person.

And it doesn't jibe with Will Pitt's first TO article, apparently gleaned from insider info:

http://www.truthout.org/docs_04/122404Y.shtml

His previous stance on the matter was based simply on his desire to defend the right to have a recount in the first place. The evidence of election tampering in Ohio, specifically surrounding Triad, has motivated him to actively join the fight. The Democratic Party is also quietly putting financial resources into the Ohio recount effort.

Not to mention:

Perhaps the most significant aspect of all this, from the activist point of view, has been the effectiveness of the telephone calls and letters to Kerry. The activist push to get him involved had a significant effect on his decision to enter this effort.

I trust Will's reporting and sources. But I will eat these words if Kerry himself backs up Hoffheimer's statements over the others.

And as for today's blog... not going there. Not worth any more words. And I hate to write that about KO, but there you go.

-------------------------

I don't watch the news anymore... not even KO. I know who I trust. And after today's blog, he's off my list for a time. I do not believe it is in Kerry's character to take advantage of "the 20 percent," yet that's in the blog. There's nothing to gain from it and everything to lose.

Take a deep breath and read Truthout, Raw Story, or find that thread with the pool pic.

KO is not a god. Fineman is the next thing to a demon.

And as far as the legal team is concerned... in addition to it being a different lawyer, one who actually has not been nearly as involved as McTigue has...

DEEDS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS.

33. My take on KO on another thread
KO is hard to figure out but this dude is very smart. Joking about the situation, almost like Jon Stewart, may be the only way he thinks he can keep up the appearance that the voting fraud issue is not that important. I believe deep down he thinks this is very serious and he is worrying about being censored off the air.

He knows good and well he is the only one keeping this topic in the mainstream media at all. His way of keeping it there is to poke all the holes in the story he can and to keep prodding us. But he is keeping it on the air and I think the way he is doing it is keeping his censors off his back.

All this constant talk about taking a vacation for good and about never having got the memo to shut down the story, I think is just flat clever cover. Start reading between the lines. He is cryptic, but believe me he wants to get us there. That's my 2 cents and I have no insider information.

47. This is also my take on it all
I couldn't agree with you more. Keith needs to present all sides of this issue. He's not speaking for us and only to us. There is a vast audience with very little knowledge about this issue. This is a process and in that process, every angle needs to be looked at or there will be a lot of people, led by MSNBC mgt., demanding the lop-sided story be dropped. I'd rather that not happen, myself, so comprehensive coverage suits me just fine.

I'm also pleased that the MSM's attention has been led away from the K/E camp by the lawyer's statement. Who needs the undeniably brutal attacks and biased coverage that would follow? Certainly not K/E. Not until the investigation is over.

As far as I'm concerned, this has been a good day. No doubt about it.

27. Faye
I get the impression KO has always been out to make us all appear schizo! I'm really not sure why so many people here like him. There has always been an undertone of barely controlled disgust for those KO does not feel are in his caliber. I find DU far more enlightening than KO! I also get the impression that K/E has decided to take this underground. I'm a little concerned that either the evidence isn't enough, or it is, but releasing it is dangerous somehow. I have always thought they know something we don't know. The OBL pattern is now clear. Every time it looks as if we are turning the tables he releases another damn tape! Maybe things are not just what we have all been speculating. Maybe there is a concerted effort out there to protect us from something. Let's give it a couple of days. Maybe taking a break is a good idea. I'm taking the kids to the mall tomorrow and helping my brother paint his new house on Wednesday. Maybe a couple days off will give me a new perspective. I'll "check-in" a few times. I hope you feel better.

51. Yes, he is a reporter and that is my point!
He is on MSM's payroll and, just like the rest, his "opinion's" ALWAYS end up degrading the "real" story. Did anyone else notice his statement that he's been witholding this information (the statement from the Kerry lawyer) for a while? Even his remark regarding being a "disgruntled" employee himself and still being thrown a party smacks of * Co. style rhetoric. My point is, he really isn't un-biased and, from what I've read, he never has been. I just don't want to see DUers losing it over the things HE reports. I keep hearing that he checks his facts etc., etc. He doesn't check his "opinions" however and DUer's need to keep that in mind.
