The Kerry-Edwards attorneys DID NOT FILE A LAWSUIT TODAY!!!
OMG - I just can't look at one more post that refers to the 'lawsuit' that was filed today! They filed motions in support of an existing lawsuit. Please read the truthout article or something and please get the terminology right. It is erroneous to say that they filed a lawsuit.
I am not trying to be negative about what they did - I for one think it is a huge step and I am extremely excited about what it may accomplish, despite whatever else the lawyer & KO said (thank goodness I have no TV).

"This afternoon, an attorney representing the Kerry/Edwards presidential campaign filed two important motions to preserve and augment evidence of alleged election fraud in the November election. The motions were filed in the matter titled Yost et al. v. Delaware County Board of Elections and J. Kenneth Blackwell (Civil Action No. C2-04-1139) with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. The document is titled "Motion Of Intervenor-Defendant Kerry-Edwards 2004, Inc. For A Preservation Order And For A Leave To Take Limited Expedited Discovery." "

5. I feel the same way, Up2Late
I just know that a lot of us on DU are the only ones trying to spread the word about election fraud - which is one of the most important things we can do to make sure some f*ckers go to prison for this. I think it's better if we have our facts straight when we're talking about this issue, and it may seem like a little detail, but there is a big difference between K/E filing a lawsuit versus filing papers in another suit that someone else started.

4. Yep. And that judge has to decide in our favor.
So I'm sure glad he gets to do so without being pressured that this is a Liberal MSM Biased effort to overthrow an election.

6. I'm with you on that!
It is amazing what MSM can do to shape 'reality', as we all know, and I think it's better right now that it's keeping away from this topic for the most part.

7. Good point
I am not a lawyer but don't lawsuits usually take 4 years to go thru the courts? Especially one as complex concerning the BBV issue? I personally think that the Dem politicians that are going to run for president or for whatever in 2008 (write off 2006 the BBV issue will not be resolved by 2006) need to ASAP have as many as possible that can afford file lawsuits in states or on the Federal level where they think they can get a fair hearing.

They should start ASAP so as to give the courts the 4 years it might need to hear the BBV issue. Kerry has 15 million dollars he can use the money to support his fellow dems that want to run in 2008, and file the lawsuits.

I am not even a lawyer or a politician and Republican computer geeks are contacting me giving me information about how much the BBV machines are junk and asking me for help.

And when I contact my own Reps I have no response so it seems to me private lawsuits by the politicians themselves are the only ones that can address the BBV issue.

But if those politicians did not say anything when they rubber stamped them into existence around 3 or 4 years ago... why would they all the sudden want to work with other Dems wanting to address the BBV issue? So that could be even more of a reason to start ASAP.

If I was a politician I would not be filing motions but lawsuits.

8. There ARE lawsuits filed
Edited on Mon Dec-27-04 10:12 PM by meganmonkey
just not by K/E. I think it may be better this way as far as lack of MSM coverage. I fear what a lot of media hype would do to this. It may be better to take America bu surprise, IMHO.

Check out votecobb.org and truthout.org and freepress.org for news on the lawsuits that have been filed.

10. I felt kind of funny when I posted using the word "lawsuit" because I knew
that it wasn't a lawsuit, but I couldn't think of a right word to call it, so unfortunately, at that time, "lawsuit" was the only thing that popped into my head. Thanks, mm.
