8. The fact that the did not stand for Gore
is why many of them are seriously, seriously considering it now. I am told the scene from F9/11 with the CBC had a profound effect on them.

Also, Gore asked them not to.

9. hmmm, I think that makes some sense ....especially after all the
coverage their lack of stepping forward got in F-9-11 ....

11. Any indication if Kerry is going to ask any Senators to challenge
One would think that would be a deciding factor for many Senators.

18. He had better do more than just hint
He would have to actually call or meet with other Senators and ask them for their support.

20. Why?
Why don't they have the guts to protest an election where American voters have been disenfranchised, without having to be courted by Kerry??

The senators were not elected to serve Kerry. They were elected to serve their constituents, and should not stand by and watch an illegitimate president be installed without making a fucking stink about it.

22. Perhaps they do not believe that there is enough evidence
that the election was illegitimate. Kerry certainly hasn't said publicly that he believes that he won.

14. A group of constituents met with Boxer.
She told them she doesn't think she'll be the one.

Please, all, keep after Boxer--there's a petition with 22,000 signatures on it heading her way soon.

19. I've signed the petition and emailed her numerous times...
Hey, I remember when her campaign claim was "I'm a fighter, I've always been a fighter, and I will always be a fighter!"

Sooooo, FIGHT, Barbara!!

23. As one of Boxer's constituents,
my letter included that, the reference to the CBC and where was she fighting for the least of us... It was quite polite and direct. Paging BB to Fight the Good Fight!

24. Keep reminding her of her own slogan.
Try calling and faxing, too. E-mails are easier to ignore. Get some friends and neighbors to do the same. Google Democratic Club + your town and forward the petition to them.

17. Leahy might remember...
Cheney's special message on the senate floor.....and be more than ready! :-) That would be nice. Leahy stands up, says "I challenge" then looks to Cheney and says, "Now YOU go fuck yourself, beeyotch!"

And does a little crotch grab to punctuate.

21. I got an e-mail response from Feingold today.
It basically said that due to the flood of letters received, he would only reply, via snail-mail, to WI constituents who gave their address.

Fortunately, I fall into both categories, so when I get Russ's letter, I will post it on this forum.

16. I think our best bet...
Would be a seasoned Senator who is possibly nearing retirement, and not as worried about the challenge affecting his or her chances for re-election.
