He's getting pretty cocky. And that means careless and sloppy. Between he and Blackwell, someone's gonna make a "catch-able" BIG mistake.

9. Watergate took two years
and finally proved Nixon's undoing. There was less at that time than there is now on the massive fraud in this election. Remember, nobody is sure to this day who "Deep Throat" was, the typical unnamed source but with a catchy porno name.

If you want this over with by the inaugural, you're going to be disappointed. This stuf takes forever.

Just as it took 30 years for the Nixon tapes to be released, and final proof that Nixon not only authorized the coverup, but authorized the breakin itself, it may take that long for this fiasco to come to light.

I just hope enough of the GOP leadership is still around to round up and convict under the RICO statute.

We let them go in Watergate. We can't make that mistake again. You see, they always come back.

23. Let's not visualize that far in advance. It pushes back our "intent."
Again, I believe Kerry WILL be a two-term President. And I feel it'll be 7 years (possibly plus some). So we gotta wrap it up within a year! Plus SS and Medicare, and economy simply can NOT wait longer than that.

I'm visualizing "progress" on Jan 6; and a delay of Inauguration for Shrub on Jan. 20. Beyond that, I'm leaving a few month "window" for resolution of all that's pending.

36. I think the fraud could possibly lead to Satan Cheney as well. I do
believe though, that Satan Cheney has been our president all along. He's just making Smirking Chimp go out there for everyone to see and be the puppet. Plus, Satan Cheney is highly implicated in the Plame investigation, so I think we will get Hastert(sp?) if he isn't impeached over the fraud thing and indictments are handed down in the Plame case (I know it's a far stretch). But, in any event, I want these fundies to see their righteous, fake Christian ass Chimp go down in flames. :hi:

Kerry against the Smirk. Who made you feel much safer and who did you feel could best make decisions about our country? I surely didn't feel like that was the Chimp when I walked away, after he got his ass served on a platter back to him from Kerry.

14. I still think the Electoral Challenge may come.....
Edited on Tue Dec-28-04 01:54 AM by johnaries
but it may not. If it does, it may be unsuccessful. If it is unsuccessful, the Republicans will divide themselves. If so, we must not fight among ourselves, we must be resolute and let them destroy themselves. We know what is right, and what is wrong, and we should not compromise ourselves, but rather let the Repugs compromise themselves.

As they will!

Remember, water is much softer than stone. But, after much patience and perseverance*, what do you think carved the Grand Canyon?

We should fight for the short term, but never forget the long term. I would love to see Kerry inaugurated, and I think it's still possible.

But in the long term, the important thing is that we have a DEMOCRACY!

Keep your eyes on the prize!
edit: added *"perseverance"! one of the most important points. Doh!

Enough said! Let's take one obstacle at a time. Jan 6.

29. The Civil Rights Movement took YEARS to improve Voting Rights.
And no doubt this will require every bit as much of a deep and sustained Process involving Cultural Revolution, Consciousness Raising and so on.

We will be nowhere near any resolution this January. That would be impossible. Look who controls all three branches of Government in Washington D.C., where the decision will certainly be made. We absolutely must be in this for the long haul just like Martin Luther King, or we will accomplish nothing.

31. I Was Praying For A Chance at Greatness and Got Bush
Edited on Tue Dec-28-04 04:57 AM by davidlynch
During the Clinton era, the dot-com boom, I was moved by achievements of heroes in the past. A part of me was profoundly saddened that my life had no drama. Life was easy, and there was nothing to rebel against, and thus no chance to demonstrate heroism.

I prayed that some circumstance would provide an opportunity to be a better person, to do something heroic, to make some sacrifice. I had no idea that the universe would respond with the Bush Administration.

And all the while DU tilts at this windmill with Bush/Cheney laughing their ASSES off in the background.

But hey, Kerry might jump out of a phone booth in a spandex leotard and save the day, right ?!?! :eyes:

(This being said, THIS time we must eliminate the cancer. We got rid of Nixon, only to have the BFEE rise from its ashes. THIS time we must make sure that all the names and all the histories are known to all citizens, so that none of these evil worms ever rise up again to try and kill The Land Of The Free And The Home Of The Brave.)
