need help - all the lawsuits making my head spin
is there a website that summarizes all the election lawsuits?

the more I try to keep it all organized in my head the more confused I get. Every time I think I got it, another lawsuit is filed, or someone adds a motion to one.

It's not only for me, it's also for the readers of the Solar Bus website.

I'm already linking to this:

http://news.findlaw.com/legalnews/lit/election2004/cases.html

but it's too confusing.

I'm looking for a summary of the major litigation, preferably a site that is updated regularly. but anything will help.

thanks

1. I like the freepress
They don't have every little detail there but, it is updated daily with the major stuff. In date order at the right.

4. I love FreePress but I'm looking for
a site that only focuses on the lawsuits, if there is one.

thanks

2. Arnebeck had a suit
in the Ohio Supreme Court part of which questioned the Connally and Moyers race and the other part of it listed irregularities and possible fraud. He used the Connally votes to illustrate that things weren't right.
Moyers ruled that Arnebeck couldn't combine both the Judge race and the other one. (Moyers shouldn't have ruled on it because he was named in it)
Arnebeck split the two parts and refiled the voting irregularities part. Don't know if he refiled the Moyers one.

The Green/Libertarian suit in the Ohio U.S. District Court asking for the machines to be examined as well as depositions taken from people was joined by Kerry/Edwards. They also asked that the case be expedited because of time constraints.

This will get you started.

3. thanks but... there's lots more than that
There are also separate suits specifically against Blackwell. One by the MSM.

I'm pretty sure the Glibs have more than one suit, one in Ohio state court and one in US District Court as well.

there's definitely more than just two lawsuits going on. I'm looking for something similar to the site I previously mentioned at the top of the thread (which is a great site by the way) but a little more simplified.

5. One MSM suit in brief
American Broadcasting Companies, Inc. et al v. Blackwell

The pollsters were advised that they would be permitted to poll within 100 feet of the polling place, as they have done in the past. All 88 counties were to recieve a notice to that effect, but none was sent. Counties were told in a telephone call with the Defendent not to allow polling within 100 feet. There is no Ohio law against polling within 100 feet. This violates the Plaintiff's freedom of speech by not allowing them to comment on the political process. It violates their rights to collect information.

There's a very long affadavit from Mitofsky in relation to this suit. It might be worth a read...hmm...

7. rtlf, what do you think will happen to Moyer for ruling on a case that he
was listed as a defendant? A lot of DUers keep saying he shouldn't have ruled on the case, but you would think that Moyer should have known this, if it was illegal. Wonder what's going to happen to him, if indeed the courts (or whoever would be the person) do something about it?
