My Email from the New York Times today 12/29/04........ |
|
Here's the email I received from a reporter at the NY Times today: Dear Ms. Jomama: Over the past month over seven hundred other readers have raised similar concerns requesting more coverage on this issue. You may be interested in the following articles: http://www.nytimes.com/2004/12/22/politics/22poll.htmlhttp://www.nytimes.com/2004/12/15/politics/15ohio.htmlI raised reader concerns with Mr. Okrent and a few days ago he asked me to let you know that he does not believe The Times's coverage of the voting in Ohio is over. The following articles have since appeared: http://www.nytimes.com/2004/12/29/politics/29ohio.htmlhttp://www.nytimes.com/2004/12/24/national/24vote.htmlMr. Okrent wanted me to write you back asking that you please stay tuned. Sincerely, Arthur Bovino Office of the Public Editor The New York Times http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/national/AP-Ohio-Vote-Challenge.html

3. I guess today was the day they decided to answer all the letters |
|
complaining about their piss-poor coverage of the Ohio voter fraud and Sen Conyers hearings. I sent them a letter on Dec 10th and got the identical letter from the NYTimes today!!!

5. Only 700 people contacted? How much ground do we really |
|
have to bitch about the MSM not paying attention to this issue? 60,000+ members here (discount say 20K for the freepers and other disruptors) plus people on Kos, Randi Rhodes and other forums - even if half of those were the same person in more than one forum, that still leaves 15 - 20,000 people who should be telling this story. OK, my math skills surely aren't up to TIA's level, but even 10,000 or 5,000
Sure, it's NOT our job to do the media's - but what are they going to report? 10's show up for election fraud protest rally? Dozens write newspaper to complain about election fraud coverage? What kind of headlines are they?
C'mon folks, this is our democracy - our birthright. Hundred's of thousands of American's have died to protect this and all we can do is not even 1,000 LTTE?
Maybe we need to start speaking in ReThug talking points:
We have to protect the sanctity of elections! The "librul" media refuses to report on election fraud! Protect Democracy - do it for the children! Election in WA is now a "frivolous lawsuit"
If we could find some tie in to "taking away their guns", God wants a recount, Clinton and the gay agenda - we'd really get these people to wake up and pay attention.
