Could the Dahli Lama help be a voice for us?
Shall we contact him? After all, it's his words keeping me going right now.

1. His whole life is bringing awareness and compassion to the world...
Yes, he is beautiful. Does anyone have a connection with him?

4. I found this
and I'm still looking but I can't find a direct contact.

One may wish to contact Robert Thurman who has interviewed His Holiness, and who also has been interviewed on Air America Radio and he talked openly about this being another stolen election:

Let's pull together

I think he belongs more to the "spiritual sphere" than to the political sphere ;-) So I don't think they will listen to him (or he wan't speak about it). But helderheid, please help us in our forum:

PS: What about Uma, Ethan, Quentin etc.?

5. Possible...
but he IS a political figure given his exile. I have a fantasy of him addressing the UN about US election fraud. :) A girl can dream. ;)

6. Ok, but how to get the mobile-nr. of a holiness?

Ok, I share this dream... I think there could be a moral "alliance" of guys like Dalai Lama, Richard Gere and other figures which would have a great impact on the thinking of Europeans. He should just put something on his website (?)... ;-) There are a lot of famous people which are listening to him and are connected with him through the Tibet mouvement.

7. The Dahli Lama never came out against the war in Iraq, and for
that I was exceptionally disappointed. Frankly, I doubt that he would involve himself in our internal strife.

9. The Dalai Lama?
What are you guys smoking? Because I want some.

Let's get the Archbishop of Canterbury in on this, he's a liberal. Right?

8. Should we
be injecting religion into politics?? It seems to me that if we complain about fundies and evangelicals predicating their votes on their religious principles, that we would be the world's premier hypocrites to ask for the support of the Dalai Lama, or any other religious personage.

I mean, rules like this apply equally to both sides. Don't they??

11. Hardly anybody would listen.
You may be enthralled by him, but to most Americans he doesn't exist. By that I mean that most don't know who he is, or anything about him.

15. In my opinion
Your idea is a good one. I am reading a book by HHDL at the moment that gives me some personal strength in all this. I guess that his advice to us might be that the struggle and the capability to overcome it is within each of us--why would we then need him as a person? Let us act together to counteract the forces of hatred and anger that threaten to engulf our world.

16. And I would add...
that if you have a way to contact him, you should certainly. I will take a look on my computer for a radio piece that Robert Thurman participated in last week. Thurman was the first western disciple of HHDL and is *very* focused on this issue, if that matters.

I will look for it and post back tomorrow. I hope you will find it inspiring--I did...
