Re-Exit Poll Ohio
HERE'S A GREAT LIST of Precincts in Cayahoga County
where 3rd party candidates recieved a high percentage of votes.

Is it possible to get a list of the registered voters who voted (Is that public information?) and call them? There are fewer than 130 voters in these precincts!

Cleveland 5O has only 128 Voters to call
Cleveland 5B has only 104 Voters to call!
Cleveland 13Q has only 110 Voters to call!
Euclid 3A has only 72 Voters to call!

Could this be accomlished?

1. I helped with recount in Sandusky County and would be willing to make
calls if this is possible, shit what am I saying? Why don't I just call and ask the nice people at the BoE office???? Hmmmmm, scary thought since they are all connected to Blackwells Office via internet now, if he gets wind of this we'll have to file more lawsuits just to get public information.
Why wouldn't that be public information anyway, they (states) SELL our information (Bureau of Motor Vehicles, Auditors Office, etc.) off to anyone with $$$.

2. I don't think it would prove anything...
I think we have a good idea of what happened- multiple precincts with different ballot formats voting in the same place. The Republicans have admitted as much. The problem is that little attention is called to the fact that, since such a huge percentage of votes obviously went to the wrong candidate in these cases, the widespread practice of mixing ballot formats rendered the entire election invalid.

4. You may want to just call the BOE to ask if they have an
explanation about this. The reason I am suggesting you give it a try is the table you are looking at on DailyKos is dated 12/1/04 and I think that the BOE already figured out the problem and fixed it. Some polling places had two or more precincts and if the precincts had different ballots (candidates in different orders) then if someone puts their ballot into the pile for the wrong precincts a Bush or Kerry vote winds up being counted for one of the third party candidates. I think they ran all of the votes back through the machine and altered the vote totals for the county as a result.

I could be wrong. I've been wrong before.

5. To what end ?
Nothing like this would ever stand up in a court of law.

If you are only interested in leaving some sort of artifact that you can forever point to and say "Bush did not win", then go for it.

6. It could point the way for an investigation that would hold up in court.
It depends on what is found. Truth is worth seeking.
