Uncovered Email 'Contradicts' Feeney Statements to 'Florida Commission on Ethics'!

2002 Article Revealed Evidence "At Odds" with Testimony to Commission.

2004 Threats of Legal Action by Feeney Use Commission Findings as Defense.

The BRAD BLOG reveals some of the troubling information that The Daytona Beach News-Journal's Laura Zuckerman uncovered during her investigation into Emails discovered in 2002 which directly contradict statements made to the "Florida Commission on Ethics".

That commission's findings are now being used by Congressman Tom Feeney (R-FL), and his surrogates, to defend themselves against charges made by software programmer, Clint Curtis....

3. gee i posted this same story by this reporter earlier and nobody even
replied. I feel like such a nobody. I don't remember if it was this article or one of the others that i found today, but one of them said that Feeney demanded that dot sign a favorable report on yang even while the investigation was ongoing.

4. You're not a nobody!
I believe it was someone who saw *your* article, Burn the Bush, which alerted me to the fact that the article was indeed still available via the Internet archives!

Thus...full credit to you, sir (or madam!) for having uncovered it, and made today's story possible!

As I mentioned in my piece, I had read the story earlier "off-line", but I am loathe to pull out quotes from stuff that I can't link to so folks can read the original.

So thank you for having found it! You are a somebody! :-)

Please feel free to Email me directly if you find other such info that you don't believe has yet been covered on this matter so that I can give you proper credit where credit is due!

5. woot! I did something to help!
I was gonna email it to ya, but since no one responded on it, I figured it must be old hat. I had to use the wayback machine to get some of the articles. It, I guess has copied the pages and can sometimes bring them up for you when you get the dreaded 404 site not found. Don't know if you know about the wayback site. Here is url
http://web.archive.org/collections/web.html

so, what is your feeling on the whole thing? Is it going to be fully investigated with arrests likely or do you think that it's going to just get swept back up under the rug?

I'm Linda by the way.

thanks for your work on this story. Tell Curtis to keep a close watch on any dogs he has left.

By the way, why hasn't Feeney threatened to sue you too?

8. Yes! Thanks!

An even better question is why hasn't he threatened to sue Curtis?! The guy making the claims! The answer there, is likely very simple, these those threats are meant to intimidate, chill and silence. Curtis has -- clearly -- demonstrated he will be none of the above over the years, so such a threat would be meaningless.

Especially since Feeney has NO intention of suing anybody, unless he *really* feels like sitting down for a lengthy deposition to answer ALL the questions that many of us would like to ask him - under oath!

Aside from having to give a complete depo, he'd also have to supply loads of discovery in the matter like, his schedule of meetings with YEI and others, and just about any other relevant materials that a defendant may wish to ask for.

Not gonna happen.

Threatening a small local weekly is a different matter though. Again, no intention to sue, but the threat of same could do wonders to frighten off a timid publisher who isn't in the mood to pay to defend such a suit. So far, however, The Seminole Chronicle folks have expressed no interest in being intimidated.

Why haven't I been threatened? Anybody's guess. Perhaps he's read up on The BRAD BLOG a bit and realizes that I don't rollover too easily either. A threat only does so much, and a lawsuit would open him up to all that I mentioned above.

Who knows where the story will be going...but if I have anything to say about it (and it turns out I do!) it's not going away any time soon. Not as long as there are still unanswered questions out there to be answered. And not as long as Feeney, Yang and their attorneys keep putting out so much demonstrably UNTRUE information.

It ain't over by a long shot... Watergate took about three years, by the way, and this one has moved much farther, much faster than that particular case did.

7. The use of union members to picket was part of the FEC
complaint lodged against Feney. Do you have copies of those records? They are available on line at the FEC site. Unfortunately the FEC dismissed the complaint. (hmmmm, aren't they a repug controlled body too?)

"Several sources have told The BRAD BLOG that at the time of the airing of Jacob's commercial, YEI released all of it's workers for the day so that they could picket Jacob's campaign headquarters. We have not yet been able to corroborate that report with either YEI or the Jacob's campaign, but will continue to attempt to do so in the future."

9. Please send a link if you have one...
...Either here or by Email to me.

I'll try to look into it also. (But I'm afraid I'm looking into too much at once, and sometimes things get away from me...so feel free to forward whatever you may have found).

11. In truth...it only takes one...
Well, okay, in the case of Watergate, it took 2. 3 if you count Ben Bradley and the support of a major media organization. Okay 4, if you add Katherine Graham into the mix for support from on high...

But still...It just takes 1 to get to the truth. If they can...
