It all comes down to what's in Conyer's report
O.K. the first shot over the bow was fired with the release of Conyer's letter. Now we await to see the evidence. If Conyers can make a compelling argument for fraud, backed up with hard factual evidence and get that out into the mainstream early next week, it could get really interesting on the 6th. If this happens there is no doubt that at least one Dem Senator will step up to the plate. But what it might also do is put so much pressure on a substantial number of Repuke members of Congress that they might not be able to vote it down. I emphasize the word might here because with this group even a goddamned smoking gun might not be compelling enough. Anyway, this is our best shot and I think the first step in that effort was taken today.

Chin Up Troops the fun is just beginning!!!!! The good news is the waiting is almost over.

1. I wonder what finally convinced Conyers to contest?
Whatever it was, I hope its good enough for some senators too.

If anyone has stuff, it's Conyers. He is THE ONE (other than possibly Kerry) who would know everything that all the groups have uncovered.

As I understand, Arnebeck & Co. have proof positive of ballot box stuffing in those precincts in Miami County that reported >90% turnout... proof of absentee ballot fraud in Trumbull Co... and GB&C hinted a day or so ago at something about signatures in Warren County. And that's what's been leaked.

At the very least, he'll pile a big ol' load of dung onto * with his allegations and make people WONDER.

Edit to clarify: Last paragraph refers to Conyers. Second paragraph was just to list a few of the things that are known.

4. Conyers seems meticulous and thorough.
That much is good. I'm not holding out any hope for the Republican members of congress, though. But at least there will be statements made and a little coverage for a change.

Even if all we get is a steady drip, drip, drip that Bush was fraudulently elected twice, that's still a good thing. It can build.

5. This is history in the making no matter the outcome.
Conyers seeded the clouds just right. Now its time for him to just rain all over the "mandate"!

6. Conyers has all of the info
Like the proverbial sponge he has been soaking up all of the information presented to him by the many people on the ground who have tirelessly been working on this investigation from the get go. You can bet your last buck that every piece of it will be in this report. Conyers knows that this is his best and likely last shot and he is not going to waste it. So expect to see the really big guns fired. Let's just hope he score a bulls-eye!

I will shortly forward you a draft report itemizing and analyzing the many irregularities we have come across as part of our hearings and investigation into the Ohio presidential election.

did y'all know that Conyers is the only member of the House Judiciary Committee to serve on both impeachment panels, Nixon's and Clinton's?

i'd say he knows all there is to know about high crimes and misdemeanors.

for the first time in a long time, i feel... giddy!

11. Here is praying for a big whistle blowing event....
A raw poll data bearing reporter with cajones to appear...
A Senator who has found his or her gonads...
The return of some semblance of election credibility...

That would make for a Happy New Year!

12. Something just came to me
You know how Arneback's lawsuit alleged that 130,000 Kerry votes were moved to Bush. And how we all kept asking: where is the proof? And the Judge "scumbag" Moyer denied the motion for expedited depositions and protection of election data because he said the case lacked the proof. Well it might just be that all of this was just going through the motions, with Arneback and crew knowing full well that it would probably be futile. They did not want to give away their evidence cheaply and so it falls to Conyers, the ultimate "ace in the hole" to do the magic evidence dump, just at the moment of decision. So Conyers steps forward and unloads the goods to show exactly how the vote was manipulated with tons of proof to back it up. Frikking mouths open wide. Front page news everywhere. Talk about drama. Talk about suspense. Talk about maximum impact. Holy Shit!
