Your opinion of Lieberman being on Conyers' list of senators
I was asking this in another thread...

When I saw Lieberman on Conyers' list of senators, I did a doubletake, given the things he's said lately in support of the Bush administration.

But then I thought, oh, of course, he was the VP candidate back in the 2000 election! That must be why he's on this list.

Any thoughts? I wonder what Lieberman's feelings really are about the 2000 election.

6. Intriguing image! Though I doubt you'll have to...
as Lieberman is clearly at the bottom of the "probable" list to stand up.

2. from time to times he gets a little Joementum
and takes a hard stand. Remember the showdown and delivery of supeona to the WH per Enron related documents?

I wouldn't hold my breath for Joe to be the one... but from time to time he delivers - that would be my guess as to why he is included.

8. Yeah...but you'd think of all the senators, he's the one who'd *know*...
after being in the 2000 election, you know? He ran up against these guys before.

But since that time he seems to be mostly supportive of them. I can't figure out why. But I figured his 2000 experience is why he is on Conyers' list.

You made good points, though; I hadn't thought of that.

3. I've got a love-hate relationship with Joe
I respect him for declining Bush's request to join his cabinet but I don't think he will stand up for us on voter fraud.

12. Don't give Joementum too much credit for declining Homeland
Security--Nobody wants that job (hence, Kerik). What moron volunteers to be the designated scapegoat if we are attacked again.

4. On Countdown Thursday
they said Conyers had sent requests to all 100 Senators. Obviously not expecting the pukes to participate but where did you find the list.

10. Not much. Randi Rhodes called him live on her program during the 2000
election to tell him something was very wrong with the way the election was going in Florida. He didn't seem interested. Also, he is probably still pissed at Gore for endorsing Dean for '04 race, and not calling him to warn that he would be doing it. I don't think we'll get much Joementum from him on this. He is definitely Republican lite. He might surprise us but I'd be shocked.
