So we send young americans to risk their lives in order to
give Iraqis the right to cast a vote and for that vote to be counted...

but so far not a single senator (who voted to enable the first case) is willing to risk their career to stand up and make sure that americans know that the votes they cast are indeed counted?

2. If you knew how much they made and the benefits they get, you'd understand
why thery're not speaking up.

Money buys people.

3. What ever happened to INTEGRITY?
I realize that most people think that all politicians lose this trait before taking office. This might not be entirely true though. Hopefully someone will stand this time.

7. Our government
made am offer and Sadam H refused it in 90, so their back up, was our military .
We have to sacrifice our young kids so this gov. can have it's way. Read "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man" by John Perkins. He was on Democracy Now, today.

9. ya but that isn't how they sell this war...
and with their wmd excuse gone as is the alqueada connection... all that is left that they endlessly sell to the public - is ensuring free and safe elections to a Democratic Iraq (their term.)

Why can't we use that rhetoric for this effort and link that election to ours?

6. OK, this is getting ridiculous
How many "Oh my, no senator will join in the challenge" threads do we really need?

Get busy calling and faxing, and quit wasting time on DU with the Doomsday prophesies. The truth is you do not know what the Senators are going to do on Jan 6th.

Control what you can. This is our big chance to have an impact on history. We need to be building each other up, not tearing each other down. We need to keep morale up, because this is going to be a long an arduous battle, no matter what happens on Jan 6th.

Please, snap out of it, and pull yourselves together.
