eFAX 20 Senators Urging them to Challenge the OH Electoral Vote 1-6-2005
eFAX 20 Senators to Urge them to Challenge the Ohio Electoral Vote on January 6, 2005

This is an adaptation of a Bellaciao article by Ben Frank

On January 6, 2005, both houses of Congress will meet in a joint session to count and approve the Electoral votes in the Presidential election. At that point, if at least one member of Congress and one Senator challenge a state's Electoral vote, the two Houses consider the objections. If both houses agree to the objection, then the electoral vote or votes in question are not counted. For more details see "MiaMedia Votergate Resources:
Challenging the Electoral Vote"...

Three Actions you can take Today:

1) Send one eFax per day 4 days in a row, which will turn into faxes printed in twenty different Senators offices, requesting that they challenge the electoral college vote this Jan 6th. See the easy two-step instructions below.

2) Spread the word! Send a link to this page to everyone you know.

3) Take Action Today! Get out in the streets, call your Senator, write emails, write editorials for your local newspaper.
=================================================================

How to send your first multiple efax now!

STEP ONE: Copy the following message, or write your own, and paste it into a new email message. Be sure to at least include your name, city and state.

Dear Senator,
You took an oath to defend and protect the Constitution of the United States from its enemies both foreign and domestic. On January 6th your sincerity and commitment to that oath will be tested. And history will judge you by your actions.

There is abundant evidence of election irregularities that bring into question whether the electors from Ohio were lawfully chosen and lawfully seated, based on numerous errors, improprieties and voter complaints.

Evidence continues to mount indicating that even the Ohio recount is being thwarted by election officials brazenly engaged in a cover-up designed to destroy the random nature of the recount, as well as its accuracy, reliability and trustworthiness.

If a President can be selected in this country as a result of unlawful conduct, then the rule of law, and with it the root of our democracy, has ceased to exist.

It is your duty to challenge the vote of the Ohio (and Florida) electors for President or Vice President of the United States, and to accept the vote of the electors who were lawfully chosen by the voters of the State of Ohio, who are committed to voting for John F. Kerry and John Edwards as President and Vice President of the United States respectively.

History will judge you by whether you honor your duty. This is something for which you will have to answer not only to the people of the United States, and to your constituents, but to your own families, your children and grandchildren, and to your own conscience.

I implore you to do your duty in defense of democracy. Do not allow our "government of the people, by the people, and for the people" to perish from the Earth. Stand up to defend our great nation which introduced democracy to the modern world.

Sincerely,

YOUR NAME(S)
YOUR ADDRESS
YOUR CITY, STATE, ZIP
YOUR TELEPHONE NUMBER
YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS

STEP TWO: Copy and paste one block of five fax-email addresses into the ’To’ field of your email message. Then send it to the Senators.

NOTE: Be sure to wait 24 hours before you send the next 5 eFaxes! You are only allowed 6 faxes per day or 20/wk- so this is set up for you to send only 5 eFaxes per day, and send them 4 days in a row. Be sure to wait a full 24 hours before you send the next eFax email. (If you send one to the first 5 Senators today at 1pm, wait until 1:05 tomorrow to send the next email so it does not bounce.)
