Planning to work (at work) that morning then make the rally in Columbus (hopefully). If you still need volunteers, I can send emails out to some potential ones. Let me know.

4. hope to be there, but son (5) has just woken with

hives everywhere... I'm not sure what's going on, if it's the beginning of a virus, or what. Hopefully he'll sleep through the rest of the night, and everything will be back to normal in the AM.

6. Might be not be something you want to try, but Alka Seltzer ...

(believe it or not, it works for us) can break the hive cycle. I don't know if it changes the skin ph or what, but it can relieve the horrible itching. (another one of those old wives remedies that actually works)

The ingredients state a lot of asprin (he's under 40 pounds -- just turned 5) -- so it's not an option for us.

Active Ingredients: Each Tablet Contains: Aspirin 325 mg, Heat Treated Sodium Bicarbonate 1700 mg, Alka Seltzer in water contains principally the antacid sodium citrate, and the analgsic sodium acetylsalicylate.

Thanks for the suggestion though -- I'll keep it mind if I ever get them again!

(He has gotten ear infections which were precipated with hives before a fever... that's weird too. Pediatrician says it can happen with viruses) :shrug:

8. Dang, sorry I didn't catch that! My kids are grown now so I forget @ ...

aspirin & kids. They still get hives, though (& me) so do keep in mind for the adults. Poor baby, hives are hard on the little ones (hard on their parents too, tough to watch your babies in discomfort!). With any luck, maybe he'll outgrow the ear infections ... sometimes they do. Something @ the eustachian(?) tube in the ear finally growing big enough to drain properly? Here's hoping!
