New kind of protest?
I'm really proud of all of us and what we've accomplished in the last 2 mos.

The one area that's a bit of a let-down is protests. None where I live, or anywhere close; no one's even organizing any buses.

Maybe traditional protests are just passe. Few can spare the time to attend, let alone organize; and the media seem to ignore them anyway.

Can we think of some new equivalent?

What about bombarding targeted talk shows (with calls or e-mails)?

Or something else creative?

1. I have an idea that might have some impact

I think that linking to protest photos and emailing them to businesses that advertise with evil media companies (Sinclair, Clear Channel, Fox, etc) might be a good idea. Main stream media has clearly shown us that they are not serving democracy and they need to feel some pa$n for it.

Also, a bit off topic.

The media is not covering large protests in a fair way. Maybe it is a good idea to break up into smaller groups throughout an entire city rather than in one place then march toward a central location with video cameras.

Note: Here is Oregon we got rousted pretty bad when * came to visit. Always have a video camera for protection.

5. How about getting a black marker and writing messages and
web page addresses everywhere. On bus windows, store windows, dollars, products, gas station pumps, elevators, bathroom doors, doors to other places, napkins in restaurants, glasses in bars. How cool would that be? Call it "Got a Black Magic Marker" campaign.

A link to the page with the data file is below:

Here's a link to a page where you can download a file containing this graphic in Illustrator 3, eps and pdf formats:

http://www.sortor.com/black_box_graphics_text.html

Original size about right for a t-shirt or fits on letter-size paper.

I know other DU'er's are also offering graphics and t's.
