Even for Drudge this is low..."As Bush Certified"..."Boxer Cries"...
Edited on Fri Jan-07-05 12:45 PM by truthpusher
Drudge gloats at Barbara's tears, implies that she is crying at the moment Bush is certified:

added on edit:

This is the actual caption from Yahoo:

Sen. Barbara Boxer (news, bio, voting record), D-Calif., wipes away a tear as she announces with Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones (news, bio, voting record), D-Ohio, that they will object to the certification of Ohio's electoral votes during a joint session of Congress today Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005. It would be only the second time since 1877 that the House and Senate were forced into separate meetings to consider electoral votes. (AP Photo/Gerald Herbert)

7. After yesterday
she's one of only two people who deserve to be in power. I still can't get over all those dems getting up to talk about election reform when that was our chance to take back a stolen election. I'm so pissed that I can't see straight.

They got up there and thought that talking about future reform was the purpose for being there. It wasn't. What Sen. Boxer and Rep. Tubbs-Jones did was gravely serious. This wasn't some healthy debate, this was stopping the counting of our electoral votes to consider a state's stolen electors and these useless people pretended to debate election reform hoping we'll continue to vote them into D.C.

If Sen. Boxer or Rep. Tubbs-Jones ever runs for President, they'll have my vote. No way in hell would I vote for those other guys.

3. Good. Let Drudge rub it in. He sounds like a total jerk.
He and his bully fans can all have a laugh. Maybe they can expose themselves in the process to their less-heart impaired acquaintances.

5. Another thought on this.
It looks like maybe Boxer wasn't satisfied with the Party's response to the Ohio crisis. Perhaps we have a new champion in the making.

12. Yeah, it was obviously an emotional moment, which leads me to believe
that maybe our Dem reps have more heart than we sometimes give them credit for.

15. All TRUE Americans wept yesterday!
I was so proud of my senator I wept! I wept with the hope that this country would rise from the ignorance and fear bestowed upon it by its corrupt and vile leaders! I then wept because for one brief moment in time it all seemed like things may actually work in favor of the American People! I felt such a sense of relief and hope! And then, as quickly as these emotions overwhelmed me, they were drained ruthlessly from my soul...my spirit. I will never forget the reality and horror of watching ONE BRAVE COURAGEOUS SOLDIER OF TRUTH AND FREEDOM STAND ALONE!! I cannot imagine the betrayal this woman felt. How can we tolerate the indecency and the cowardice displayed by her fellow senators! Yes, Barbara cried. She cried for the future of our country. Many of us cried. The way our elected officials behaved yesterday was HEARTBREAKING! And now they mock her. They mock a decent American who was trying to fix a broken system. They mock by torturing us with their righteous, pompous verbiage! These people are monsters and the senators who stood indifferent to truth and freedom should feel enormous shame. They are not worthy of our support. They not only failed their colleague...they failed their country!
