Identify the 'problem' and solutions will usually follow. Try it yourself. |

Problem 1. We lost because of : Democratic party issues, Dem campaign strategies, choice and type of Dem candidate, and a little media bias. Solution: we must and will do better next time, but our system is generally fair and democratic.
Problem 2. We lost because many, many votes were stolen, as in 2000, and the highest levels of government (Supreme Court, Congress, state electors, etc.) and MSM ( esp. WaPo, NYT, CNN, CBS, NBC, Fox, Time, etc) are complicit. The solution is... the solution... ah yes, now that is a bit more difficult. Any suggestions would be welcome.

It's obvious that no one in the democratic party (corporate) leadership is interested in pursuing this because it would return the country to paper ballots eventually. It would cost tens of millions to pursue and take years of planned effort. I've been posting this litigation strategy for two years and won't bore anyone by repeating it here.
The ruling junta is adding layers of electronic electoral fraud to the decades of gerrymandering and influence pedalling which had already corroded our corrupt government beyond anything more than a very remote possibility of reform.
We are now moving into consolidation of a totalitarian form of government.

2. Problem # 1. We lost because our voices are blocked by the |

mainstream media. The corporate media has marginalized us because we will fight them all the way. They will alway be better served by the "Corporation Party" not the "People's Party." It's the media stupid. Just look at how they will not report the Boxer story. They have not even elaborated on the numerous examples of fraud presented by the senators and congressmen. Most people do not even know about the criminal irregularities in voting in many states because the media is purposefully not reporting it.
Solution: Take back our airwaves. We own them. Our government allows corporations to use them at little or no cost and we do not get benefits for allowing them to use our property. We should demand payment, fees, rent if you will. With this huge amount of money we could own a real public broadcasting station and report the truth not government propaganda and lies. The people would be better informed and would never vote for a lying murderous criminal again. The world would be safer and we wouldn't be going around the globe starting wars to profit war profiteers.

6. MSM is a problem, agreed. FCC needs fixing, etc. |
|
So, if 1 is your choice, how DO we take back the airwaves?
If 2 is the case, how do we take back the airwaves, or do anything under law, when our votes have been stolen, and MSM is complicit in imposing and supporting an illegal and increasingly fascist regime?

I enjoyed reading the article in Mother Jones on-line by Todd Gitlin. All the diverse progressives coming together almost did it and could do it next time. The repukes have been active for over thirty years. Give us a chance to get even more voters. We need much bigger margins to counter fraud. Stay with MoveOn and other internet groups, stay focused and united, let people live with their personal consequences of this fascist government, and I believe the tide will turn. If we fight amongst ourselves and split (and I do think some who advocate this on DU are repuke trolls) we are lost. Patience, Unity.

4. We Probably Won the Voters... |
|
...and did as well as almost any other Democratic line-up. Had not so many votes been stolen, and had the MSM not insisted on keeping a straight face for the ludicrous GOP platform in the name of fairness, the election results would have been a landslide the other way.
I think the two-party system is dead, but we could waste a lot of energy trying to pretend otherwise while Big Money cememts its hold on us and the major parties. The only long-term solution I see is the application of anti-trust principles to the GOP *and* the Dems, supported by public financing of elections and an FEC with teeth.
Then we might find out what "liberal" and "conservative" *really* mean.

5. I need to break it down in bite sized pieces... |
|
Problem: Another election was stolen. Solution?????
Broken down: Problem: Blackwell facilitated fraud in Ohio, and broke laws to do so. Solution: Bring this man to justice. Method: Increase protests, inform the public of specific laws he broke through fliers, phone calls, letters, graffiti, etc., support ongoing investigations and investigators, eg: Conyers, Arnebeck, others (how?).
