I just got an email from badnarik's campaign manager
Dear concerned voters,

I presume that you are all progressive voters, as these messages seemed to track following an entry at democraticunderground.com.

Please rest assured that we are looking into these and other cases of voting irregularities. To begin, I spoke with Nader's campaign manager yesterday, and she assured me that the initial paperwork had just been filed in NH to challenge the vote there.

Badnarik seems to be the only one who can challenge in Ohio.

Nader and Badnarik just spoke together and are discussing some sort of plan to cooperate on this general issue.

Too much is going on, with too little hard objective data, for me to indicate any firm campaign position on this at the moment. We are looking at all of the options, however.

I will be flying to DC early next week, where I hope to learn more. Also, there will be an unrelated press conference at the National Press Club on Tuesday, where I expect we (Badnarik, Nader and Cobb campaigns) will be asked about this. I sincerely hope to have better answers by then.

Thanks for all of your concerns. To any Democrats on this list, please listen to Howard Dean and not John Kerry - we have to end this war immediately! Please put the pressure on Kerry to lead the charge for immediate withdrawal from Iraq. Kerry no longer has to be a tougher war president than Bush.

Sincerely,

Stephen P. Gordon

he was very good. A sane Libertarian.

I could very well imagine voting for him.

14. That seems off issue and out of place...
The issue at hand is making sure this election was not indeed stolen.

they are doing something for us (and for them... taking down DieBold was on their to-do lists I'm sure...) and in turn we listen to Dean on Iraq.

15. Yikes yourself. At this stage, it's better 3rd parties do the dirty work.
If JK jumps in the fray now, he risks media attacks, Repub activists flying in a la Palm Beach, etc. Right now, all Rove can do is watch. How stupid would he look going up against Badernik and Nader now? You can bet your bowling ball, KKKarl ops are watching this unfold, just as you can bet Kerry is in touch with Nader.

Get well Elizabeth Edwards if you are reading this right now.

10. Maybe Kerry is having them submit the challenges
instead of him so it wont look partisan. I'm sure I'll get flamed but who knows?
If the guys that never had a shot if winning can get the ball rolling it doesnt look like Kerry is a sore loser.

12. no... I'm sure they're doing it because machines
were an issue of their campaigns... if they can get the ball rolling and it turns into a huge issue nation/worldwide, then it will be a MASSIVE victory for third parties.

19. I wondered that myself. You know, Nader said all along that Dems would
find his presence in the race helpful.

Do you think he was thinking of this???

Board awaits state followup
By ERIN MILLER

WAPAKONETA -- Auglaize County Board of Election members say they have not heard any more from the state regarding a possible investigation after receiving notice of being placed on administrative oversight last week
***
In a letter dated Oct. 21, Ken Nuss, former deputy director of the Auglaize County Board of Elections, claimed that Joe McGinnis, a former employee of Election Systems and Software (ES&S), the company that provides the voting system in Auglaize County, was on the main computer that is used to create the ballot and compile election results, which would go against election protocol. Nuss claimed in the letter that McGinnis was allowed to use the computer the weekend of Oct. 16.

Nuss, who resigned from his job Oct. 21 after being suspended for a day, was responsible for overseeing the computerized programming of election software, according to his job description. His resignation is effective Nov. 11.
