Positive for the future, thoughts
How many think a populist message of economic disparity like Edwards was talking about with passion would trump this moral values BS that is so vague you can't even define it.
i think if we get great consultants like people who have won an electron or two, not like Bob Schrumm, and we stay of a populist economic message we can turn out the base in numbers hereto for unseen. We MUST, we MUST, capture the youth vote.

So it's not hard.... go get consultants that have won?... a good message like John Edwards had and continued to have.
Oh by the way I brought this up n the Kerry Edwards blog I was removed...Free speech in at the Democratic party huh? Anyway back to the message.

Keep it to 3 or 4 solid winning Democrat core base issues and deliver it with the same mantra that Bush did and we can win. Concentrate on the Youth vote with extreme prejudice and just do it. We are here willing and ready to work.Economic problems will trump these vague moral issues any day, mix in another few thousand dead in Iraq and we take both chambers back in the mid terms...I want someone to pay close attention to Georgia Senator Saxby Chambliss, they slandered Max Cleland a three time Viet Nam vet amputee and called him unpatriotic, unfortunately my uneducated Bros and Sis in GA bought it and Saxby won...an investment banker millionaire by the way who was known in the southern p

1. I like John Edwards
Just as I liked John Kerry, and Al Gore. None of these men are really terrible, considering what we're up against. But none of them have a chance, either, nor will any opposition candidate have a chance so long as the Republicans control the voting process and the media.

Until we break their control of these things.

2. You are right, NEOBuckeye.
We've all seen the "Bush vs. Jesus" ads. It's funny, but it's also sad, because it's true. No matter how perfect our candidate, no matter how good their message, and no matter how many people vote for them, THEY WILL NOT WIN. If we win by 3 million votes the Republicans steal 6 million; if we win by 30 million, they steal 60 million.

Talking about choosing a candidate with the right popular appeal is useless UNTIL WE STOP THEM FROM STEALING VOTES.

Florida and Ohio went to Kerry. Iowa and New Mexico probably did as well. Kerry won, but he will not be allowed to take office, and neither will any other Democratic candidate until WE MAKE THEM STOP STEALING VOTES.

Our strategy for 2006? Contact as many state legislators as possible and convince them of the importance of this issue. Sell it to them, let them sell it to the people. Every eligible voter who wants to vote should be allowed to register, and should be able to vote on election day in a timely fashion. Ballots should be of straightforward design. Each step (for computers, that means EACH LINE OF CODE) should be transparent and auditable. Each vote should be documented, and all votes should be recountable.

If every state did this before the 2004 election, Kerry would've won 60-40, and taken over 320 EV easily. It's our greatest strength--if everyone who wants to votes, votes, WE WIN.

We're Democrats. Let's be the party of democracy.

3. Repubs Will Still Get The DIEBOLD Vote
If we don't take care of that, we could run Jesus and lose.

4. The corporate media is already cheerleading for Edwards
That should give you a BIG CLUE that Edwards would be a disaster in 08.
