Why Wenatchee? (warning: Satanic conspiracy theory) |
|
Does it seem odd that Rossi and the GOP are challenging the Washington gubernatorial contest in a Wenatchee courtroom? Isn't this the same court that prosecuted 30 of their citizens for being part of a Satanic sex cult meeting in church basements to molest children just a few years back? Wasn't this the community where mass hysteria led the courts to hand down life sentences to all those accused, convictions which were all subsequently overturned by clearer thinking Washingtonians?
So why Wenatchee, Rossi? The one place in the state with a court whose reputation for rulings based on "spectral evidence" matches or exceeds that of 17th century Salem, Massachusetts. I'm sure some nutjob in Wenatchee can easily be counted on to conjure up any number of invisible votes cast for Repubs.
Shouldn't the rest of the citizens of this state be suspicious of Rossi's choice? After all, there are some in Wenatchee who say evil never left that place, that none of the unholy accusations were false. Who knows what kind of poison is being brewed in the courthouse in Wenatchee as we speak? Apple capital of Washington state. "Care to try one, dearie?"

I'm not sure I'd go along with the theory but I had to laugh at your line.
I won't be the least bit surprised when some crazy judge in Wenatchee declares the election null and Rossi the winner. That just means it goes to the state supreme court. Once again cooler and saner heads will prevail.

2. I may be paranoid but you won't find me in that town after dark |

They are spooky.
And so is Rossi. He keeps putting up electronic signs on I-5. How do I know they aren't "spells"?

3. Definitely judge shopping |

Fascinating that they filed in Chelan Country. Not King county where they claimed the election was 'stolen'. Not in Thurston county where the capital is located, and where most cases against the state are filed. Not anywhere in a densely populated area of the state.
Instead, they go across the Cascade Mountains to one of the reddest areas of the state to file. When the January hearing proclaims the election null and void, republicans will have the headlines they want.
I have just been sick to my stomach listening to the Washington State republicans self-righteously talk about the legitimacy of elections, the need for all votes to count, and that voters have faith in the process. Apparently they didn't receive the national republican's list of talking points from January 6th.

4. Rossi looks so bad and if he teams up with Eyman |

I will be convinced that it is the devil's work.
Seems like any reasonable judge would throw it back to the State Supreme Court again. What an embarassment he and all the GOP are to the state.
I wonder if Rossi will try a recall election if he's unsuccessful in court? He can be Danny DeVito to California's Arnold.
