FOLKS, READ THIS and investigate: Diebold reaches in to the web?
I recieved this email from a friend.................
======================================================================

Here's a site I just found.. I recognize Mr.Wayne Madson, whose article I linked below.. What piqued my interest was an article in the archives of another site, I frequent that reported that for a time in November, 2004, INTL News was shut down by credit card refusal, because of a direct complaint of Diebold to the server . ( But then Diebold has been in the ATM business for a while too..) They demanded an apology from the site operator for an article he published... The archives at INTL doesn't go back to 2004?! and there is not direct e-mail way to contact Mr. Broadhurst listed on the site now.

the operator Joe Broadhurst of the site said to Signs of the Times: " <...> As soon as I posted a story directly linking a Diebold employee to manipulating votes in Gaston, N.C. I got a note from my host, ServerFly , that my credit card wasn't being excepted. I checked with my bank and all was fine, I even went out and used the card TWICE to make sure it was fine. Then I posted that I was being shutdown and 45 minutes later I was. They even said I would have to post an APOLOGY if I wanted to reinstate the account. I have since found out that "ServerFly" is based in Houston"

2. Great Stuff! But GA is chasing Diebold hard
and we're catching them red-handed with a whole host of election problems, not the least of which is
a. vote tampering
b. denying open records requests
c. stolen diebold equipment and no attempt to investigate
or build a 'security process' around the machines

I could go on and on, but Diebold is going to have a bit of a battle on its hands and from many Georgia citizens.

3. Thanks for the post
Diebold will stop at nothing. Just wait and see how they react when we finally box them in a corner.

4. Maybe it's time that Diebold got the Sinclair treatment?
Sorry if this is slightly off topic but I can't initiate threads yet.

It seems to me that it might be time for people to vote with their money and let all their mutual funds know to stop investing in Diebold and why.

While we're at it why not start people asking banks what ATM's they use and tell the banks they are going to move their money if they don't get another manufacturer's machine.

For those who are somewhat bold, they can print up stickers and attach them to the ATM's that are Diebold. Something like:

This is a Diebold machine
They also make electronic voting machines that can't be audited
Tell this bank how you feel about using this machine.
P.S. There is a camera in this machine so don't do something rash.

Just a little something for the majority of the population to do while they wait for the next outrage that "everybody" wants. I hate sitting on my hands and waiting.

7. what a great idea!
It's nonviolent and (since you don't say "they make voting machines that steal your vote") nonlibelous... I love it!
Are there rules against, say, going into a grocery store and putting stickers saying "This is a loaf of bread" on the Wonder Bread? (Well, except that Wonder Bread isn't really bread... but I don't know any other national brand off the top of my head.)
