Count still going in Texas provisional vote tally

Ok...so none of these would change the results, per the article..but, my gosh, Texas is stiiiiillllllll counting votes from Black Tuesday?????????

More than three months after the November election, state officials don't have a final tally of how many provisional votes were cast and counted in Texas.

Provisional vote totals remain in question for 29 counties. Local election officials had to report provisional votes in a lengthy federal survey. Some counties have not yet responded. For 10 of the 29 counties a computer registered the provisional vote total as zero, possibly inaccurately, Bill Kenyon, spokesman for the Texas secretary of state's office, said Monday.

Lack of familiarity with provisional voting and with the survey seems to be the reason for some counties' tardiness, Kenyon said.

"It's a pretty extensive survey. It's way more than just provisional votes. These folks have never had to do this before," he said. "There's no active resistance or cantankerousness involved. It's just trying to do something for the first time."
