Andy Stephenson is home and doing okay....
Edited on Fri Feb-18-05 10:34 PM by greatauntoftriplets
They finished the procedure and discharged him without the dreaded overnight stay.

I am not certain what this means (according to termite, his partner, and he wasn't sure how or why it happened) but his bile duct had collapsed and they had to insert a shunt to open it up and that will have to be checked and watched. Sorry....no more information right now.

He goes back to the doctor for a follow-up on Monday. More information to come at that time.

On edit: He is sleeping right now.

2. Best wishes to Andy
Ouch! Sounds like he must have been hurting pretty badly. That duct doesn't take blockage well at all. I'm glad he's resting at home.

I appreciate that you take the time to keep us informed. We care about Andy and are concerned, it's nice to get an update without him having to stress himself to let us know.

It sounds like good news, in terms of what the possibilites might have been. Best of luck, Andy, get well soon but take good care of yourself.

20. Good for him and if he keeps good care of his gallbladder maybe he'll be
able to keep it. When he is feeling better and has his doctors OK he can get some advice from that naturopath he was asking about. There are healthy ways to keep your gallbladder functioning and free of sludge. I'm very glad everything went well for him.
