Bush doesn't give a straight answer. 40. The more he talked, the deeper he dug himself in. What double-speak! |
|
Clearly he has such trouble being articulate...which he's fully aware of, and usually prefers to "keep it short." But when he REALLY is confronted with the Truth, and desparately needs to lie his way out...he keeps talking, and talking, and talking.
This reminds me of a few interviews he gave AFTER 9/11...in which he similarly felt the need to keep talking, and talking, and talking... to explain exactly why he just happened to be in Florida on the day 9/11 occurred. I would've believed it was purely chance, IF he hadn't felt the need to explain, explain, explain.
There's a pattern here we should note, and watch for in the future (i.e., with Gannongate)!

good non-answer you shit.
He says I don't know what reporter you're talking about? Do all of you still have your jobs?
"A free press is an important part of any Democracy" For once Georgie gets it right... too bad we don't have one.
Lots and lots of stammering... he's definitely reaching on this.

Notice that the question was about the US press and Shrub twisted around the answer to make some sort of inane comment about how the reporter is comfortable (WTF?) with the Russian press.

Did you see Putin's non-verbal during Shrub's answer? Clearly he was annoyed...for sure.

His father did so before him. He's just honing it down...until there's no REAL Press left at all. Just pure Faux Propaganda.

I am both sad and ashamed that he represents us. How did this ever happen? I hope that one of these mornings when I wake up I will discover that this was all just a bad dream. It just doesn't seem like such a fool could really be our president.

More like the ignorant over explain what they *do* know when asked about something that they don't know about. The topic was press freedom in Russia, which Bush's people took a stand on, but which Bush himself only accepted as an article of faith without actually knowing any facts to back up the official US position when cornered by the people he'd been indicting.

|
Junior was trying to squirm out of the confrontation. We really needed someone with credibility and diplomatic skills. He is in way over his head. He has always known this and he does not give a damn.
Every time he screws up the media should be screaming bloody murder.
His list of ways American journalists are fired was not reassuring.

27. the day I realized the Russian press was both more free |
|
and SMARTER than our MSM---when this story ran in Pravda: Eulogy for America 11/08/2004 16:49 David R. Hoffman, Legal Editor PRAVDA.RU
The epitaph reads: THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA Born July 4, 1776 - Died November 2, 2004 Ladies and gentlemen, we gather here today to mourn the passing of the United States of America, a nation that once stood as a beacon light of hope for the world.
America was betrayed and murdered on November 2, 2004. Also killed during this time of madness were the following virtues: truth, justice, integrity, freedom, compassion, brotherhood, tolerance, faith, hope, charity, peace, and respect for other cultures and nations. These virtues are survived by their antitheses--deceit, injustice, hypocrisy, fascism, selfishness, hatred, fear, hopelessness, greed, perpetual warfare and arrogant hegemony.<snip> Amazing, isn't it, when PRAVDA is the place to get the TRUTH about America? The whole article is brilliant--I highly recommend you read the unedited version here: http://english.pravda.ru/mailbox/22/101/399/14555_euology.html

"What is that lack of freedom all about?" a reporter from the Russian news agency Interfax asked the U.S. president." (Yet), Before Bush could answer, the reporter then turned on Putin and demanded to know why he was not sticking up for Russian reporters by talking about violations of the rights of American journalists."
"A startled (No Mike in Ear) Bush then replied (stumbled) that Putin had brought up (blamed Putin) the subject of journalists getting fired recently in the United States." "People do get fired in the American press (and quick, less they're MEDIA OWNED WHORES). They don't get fired by the government, (no) however, they get fired by their editors," (pressured by Rovie) Bush said.

55. First names to keep the conversation simple |
|
He uses first names in an effort to keep the conversation on a kindergarten level. He does not want to use formal language because he is incapable of thinking and speaking like a world leader. Telling Jacque Chirac that he would make a good cowboy was a plea to dumb down the discussion. He is an idiot and he lacks moral authority.
Some one should tell him the hard truth. His performance was unacceptable. He should resign for the good of the country.

And if his face gets any worse, I swear I'm going to call him "Droopy." I mean no disrespect to any stroke victim, but we've never been told what's wrong with him, despite the fact that it is clearer and clearer all the time that SOMETHING is wrong with him. Medically, not just mentally.
